A whopping 13 people since 1980... Numbers are much smaller than fatal dog attacks, and yet we are trying to get pet snakes banned... We might as well ban any animal that could potentially harm a human as a pet. We'd be left with pet fish. Well, not necessarily because some two year old would eat the fish or some other bizarre event would happen and the kid would die, so no animals as pets because animals may kill..

Duh, they're animals... There's always that risk if you're not careful..

All I'm saying is 13 deaths in what? 30 years is a tiny number. I mean goodness, how many people get killed in one month from cars?

I'm curious to know what his friend was doing the whole time. It shouldn't be difficult for two people to control a Boa...

An 8'-9' 25lb red tail boa?! My husband has been wrapped several times by 14' Burms and was able to get them off all by himself. He's not the biggest guy in the world either. The story sounds a little strange to me!

I said this on another thread and Ill say it again, something just isnt right
and unless he had two broken arms or was a little person he should have been able to get the snake off even if it bit him and the friend apparently just watched and called 911

I have had a 7ft boa bite my shoulder and wrap around my neck and i easily got him off, and Im short and not very big at all like seriously im 5,5

Wait! He was showing the snake to a friend, ok! But then in the other article it says his girlfriend was in the apartment as well? Must of been the Hulk of ALL snakes by the look of it, ugh
