Shedding question

I’ve only had this guy for about 2 weeks now and this is his first shed I’ve seen and know most people are saying they eat the skin they shed but he doesn’t appear to be eating it. How long do I leave it in there to see if he will eat it or not? He just starting shedding last night.

Most of the time they do but sometimes they don't eat it or don't eat all of it. If it's just sitting around in there, you can throw it away. They pull a lot of the shed off with their teeth and eat it then, but don't usually go hunting for it later.

Thank you for response! He did end up eating it when I checked in on him later! And no shedding stuck around toes or anything so yay!
