I started doing Oil Pastel abstracts a month back, guess i should post some here?

After a few years of only doing realism in every medium, I want to push outward and try more abstract arts. You know?

Everyone deserves credit when it is deserved. You have talent and should continue to produce the artwork you want.

I know what you mean about wanting to explore different styles of artwork. I have had that feeling too but just feel that there is more to realism then what people think. I think to truly understand abstract work, you have to master realism. I think nowadays, more people want to be abstract artists than anything else. Modern and Contemporary artist are all over the place. When searching craigslist, as I do often now to look for supplies and such for my classroom, I see more "local artist" selling modern and abstract type work.

Ive done a few multiples and improves as you can see.

Wolfed out Teen Wolf characters.

Bonus points if you know who they are ^-^. The wolves are partial traces, manipulated to my needs...and clothed.

More wolves to come.

Had some glass blown pieces that were stolen from me. Finally got them back, enjoy!

Always wanted to learn to blow glass. probably will learn one day, seems like a me thing to do...and then die of horrific burns because im like that.

Anyways. REVIVING THIS THREAD. with newer...MUCH better Pastel works. Just the flower pieces for now though.

I saw this thread and I thought I would share some of my art! some of them really suck though, so bare with me! this first one was a colored pencil drawing that we had a week to finish, but I completed it before the second day.... resulting in m getting extra assignments....

(sorry its sideways!) this next one was my first attempt at air brushing...

this next one was my first painting attempt where we had to re-create a famous painting. I chose Monet.

this one is a wire sculpture based off of the first drawing. I cut my fingers so bad while making this that my teacher ran out of bandages!

this is a collage about Las Vegas made from strips of magazine and mod-pod (spelling?)

and finally this is the hood of a jeep that I airbrushed about a year ago. the flames have faded because they took it off roading the day after I painted it... but here it is tonight!
