Changed mine up a little bit. Got a thermometer with a probe, new hot side hide (the bowl was rather large), new mealworm dish because they like to escape and hide under the tile, repashy calcium, and an UTH. I have to keep the log hide in the front of the tank because she poops in that back corner.

1.3 African Fat Tail geckos live in here. I have a 48" 5000K daylight bulb across the top (heat light used as extra light for photo.) I have 3 UTH in different areas under cork flat hides hidden among the plants. Substrate is organic top soil and peatmoss.

Plants have changed around a little by now (like, using more pothos instead of ferns) but the gist is the same a couple years later.

I was keeping my male gecko in a 10 gallon tank until the point where I thought he was getting way too big for it...

(you can see him poking out his hide...)

...So I just recently stepped it up to a 24 in X 18 in X 12 in Exo Terra medium low.

Now, I DO have him on sand as of now. But I've covered most of the floor in slate rock so he doesnt have easy access to it.
I'm also going to add extra caution and start feeding him out of the cage too.
Few things I have in here...
Exo terra Large crystal cave.
Three-level hide.
Humid Hide with Eco Earth.
Exo Terra Saguaro and Finger Cacti.
Exo Terra mealworm dish.
Zoo med bunch grass (small).

This is my first ever build gecko terrarium. Still needs proper substrate and a bunch of plastic plants, but here it is:

This is my 20 gallon long tank that I got off a guy on craigslist for 20 bucks. It came with the overhead light and two heat pads so I thought it was a good deal although I don't really need the overhead light.

Got a new tank for the gecko. uploadfromtaptalk1398057109871.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1398057147959.jpg
Oh got a new water dish and a food dish now that the little thing is eating mealies. I did get some nice tiles but I still need a few things before I fully set him up.

Went ahead and got some sand substrate today. I found 1 brand at the big box store that claims this is not sand its a digestible substrate based on calcium, dyed with non toxic or harmful dyes.
The other day I took a punch to some tiles to make large spots for hides. Today I finished making small filler peices and sanding all the edges to a round. After that I mapped out where the large prices will go and where to kinda mosaic small ones in large gaps. Put his water dish in, and sunk his bowl in. He has not been using it but due to lose substrate needs to now.

this is the layout, kinda cut out the edge. Terrariums are hard to photograph.
So far I'm 14 bucks in for the tank, 5.99 for sand, free tools and tiles (from tile shop leftovers), and 3.99 for the neat rock water dish. The hide sare janky but I need a tile scorer before I make something nicer.
