Cleaning out the shelves today and it seems some one is way early on the egg laying. Didn't even have the incubator setup yet. Anyone else having eggs layed recently?
I've been getting coleonyx eggs for the past 5 weeks, but only 1 seems to be good. A family nearby with a pair of geckos has also been getting eggs which I am incubating for them. In both cases I think it's a case of season ending late rather than starting early.
My patternless female layed a clutch about two weeks ago. She took a break at the end of the last season (about the last two months) so she may actually be starting up already. I also had her away from the male for a few weeks and then put her back so that may have done it.
I have had eleven fertile eggs in the last three/four weeks, from five different leo girls. It's probably just their time, and next year about the same time they'll ovulate again. I've heard they tend to ovulate around the month they hatched themselves; might be true. At least one of my girls hatched in September. I'm just worried some babies will hatch while I'm in Europe for Christmas, and my baby sitter will get to see the babies first :main_rolleyes:
