At this point, I think it is very difficult to test breed to find exactly how the "hypo" gene works. I don't think anyone will know if their geckos are heterozygous or homozygous, plus with the added factor of selective breeding over so many generations. The only way to tell might be with DNA testing.

these genes are a bit tricky, i bred a mack tang to a shtb(no carrot tails at all) and got shtbs and shtctbs, but luckly they are not hard to id.
