If you are only using lamps I would at least suggest getting a probe to check the floor temps on the warm and cool sides. They really are not too expensive. When we had ours in the tanks we had about 80 on the cool and 95 on the hot spot using an under tank heater.

But if your going to spend the money on probe might as well spend a few more dollars on an UTH :) if you know what I mean

Right on Mr. Madden. Glad to hear your segment on Late Night Leos and your takes on ambient temps. I use 96 for both the belly heat racks and the back heated ones with a 78-80 ambient and 60% humidity. Great for the geckos but hasn't done a thing for hair restorarion!! I don't get it.

mine was 68 :( i got a heat mat and now its 78 :( am going to buy a lamp tonight to get it up a bit more, very disappointed the mat only increased it by 10 degrees.

Since putting the heat mat in my gecko has slept on it all the time. I shoulda done this earlier, i'm a bad parent :(
