Well last night when i got home from new years i fed all of my geckos and checked for ovulation, i noticed my enigma pos het raptor was in heavy ovulation so i threw her in with my sht male to se what would happen (Btw she was the correct weight, i have an incubator and a rack.). About 5 mins after new years i saw them mateing, it was pretty exciteing.

Well all my geckos must not be wanting to breed yet. I have been introducing my males and females together to get them use to each other and hoepfully push my females into ovalation. One of my males really didn't do much at all besides sniff a little then go to the opposite side of the tank. One of my males that I hatched was all excited to see his first female but she wasn't ready for him, lol! He kept nipping her but she wasn't "turn on" by that yet. I placed some pieces of paper towels from one of my males in my females tanks to hopefully push them into ovalation so we will see how well that works. It will be the first time I have tried the "paper towel trick." My other breeders are gonna be first year breeders and need to put alittle more weight on before introduction happens. Wish me luck!!! :D

since you live a bit further up north it may be a month or more before you get ovulation (even with the paper towel trick)

I remember that last year is was in late January that my females and males started to do the nasty, lol! Of course I had to wait til the weight that was needed was there too. I thought that I might be able to start it earlier this year but I think your right about having to wait another month. It probably was that last year it was just perfect that the females started ovulating when the weight needed was there.

I am still new to the breeding leopard geckos so I have alot to learn when it comes to figuring out the right times to introduce and so on.

Thats why I love GF! You get information that helps you along so you don't have to do so many trial and error situations. Technology helps us new guys bypass all of the learning experience that people went throught during the years of no internet searches.

what temps do you keep them at? cuz thats kind of unusual that all of your females are ovulating and you live in a northern "cold state". generally breeding seasons for people down south start earlier than for people up north
