But if you read all of Brittney's Website its says "Powered by Reptile Creative ALL RIGHTS RESERVED"

I`m pretty sure Code falls under All RIGHTS

Also I think Chris if you want to do Website design, fantastic. But come up with your original code, and your original design. Don't take away from what Brittney has put nearly her whole life into, its just unethical, and WILL NOT get you very far in this hobby...

You copied so much of the design from the HISS site, that's not original if you ask me...

And, as Marcia stated, and as to what I was hinting at, you should have asked Brittany because she wrote the code for the website and she has the rights to it.

Curiousity's sake, are you going to fix the mispellings on the site? Or potentially consider not having the tabs move when you have your cursor over them?

First off guys/girls,

This website was made by him! He is 14 years old. Think about what you were doing when you were 14years of age. I applaud him for his work. It actually looks better than some of the sites out there created by people making a living at it. I made my first site when I was 15 and it looked nothing close to this.

2ndly, The available page may or not seem to be the same as someone elses text or format. For one, its text format. Its like saying you copied the format from Excel to get the idea for the tables...lol?

If it were pics he was using...thats a no no! But i dont see anything wrong with using a text format. Sorry but thats just my .02 cents!

just some food for thought here - not meant to be offensive or anything, just a statement - If you look at the websites I've designed, none of my websites have the exact same layout/design(this going for available pages in this case, too)... that is because I design each website custom from the ground up for each client. It is a challenge each and every time I work with someone in the reptile industry to make an available page that is fitting for them and not just a reproduction of something that has already been done. I enjoy what I do... and take great pride in my work.

Btw: I'm not talkin bad about anyone or their work...im just stating that i see similarities everywhere.

honestly, can we get to a positive outcome just once without bickering??? This is a 14 year old kid you are arguing with, and i think the site is nice(heck i couldnt do better). But im sure a outcome can be brought about between the different parties without all this arguing (it just makes us all look unprofessional and uninviting to new members)

This is all annoying me. Both sites are great. You can't change much on an available page...
So many sites looks like that, and in reality...I only see 2-3 major ways in which you can design an available page.

Look, I say just change the font and make the morph headings on the available pages shorter. Instead of having the text box go all the way across make it go like 25 - 30%. I agree they are very similar but he's a kid and he's trying. A few small changes and it should be cool. I borrow ideas all the time. Just jazz it up a little thats all.

Good job by the way, a really nice first attempt.

I know that her personal site and i know she designed GG.

But its the fact she said he makes every site different for every customer and builds them from the ground up for them. ;) it just looks like to me...they are very close to the same thing. =)

But i do love the sites and not stating i dont like her work, cause i really do. but this 14 year old MAY have gotten the IDEA from a site she made like it, but really? how many diff ways could u have it? all the info is there that is needed and i think i would even use the idea for my site. Its just not right to claim a STYLE as YOURS. it just funny to me, thats all =)

I agree this is pointless bickering. I have seen MANY other sites the look the same on the available page. They are similar, but at the same time they are not entirely the same as many other websites are to each other. I think it looks great and it should have been taken cared of privately, that way none of the parties would be criticized on their works publicly.

Has anyone looked at the source code for the two sites? Brittney is that your code?

It looks very similar to me.

Essentially, if the design and layout is copied I say that's rude but there's not a lot that can be done. If the code or images are the same, there's an issue.

Garden State Geckos - Paul is a good friend and with asome geckos.
Geckos Etc. - Steve and Debra have excellent animals and are very helpful.

Gecko Genetics - Jason is a great guy with asome geckos.
I think you meant Awsome :)
