I don't know Kelli. I suspect your heart is just wounded, sorely perhaps, but I doubt its purity is changed.

The fact that you feel as you do is a good indication your heart is solid, just not as available as it once was.

I can't fault you for it either. Dealing with all the crap that you have would do the same to many. Just don't sell yourself short because a few turds didn't make the initial flush. Hit the lever again, and again, and again if necessary, until things are nice and clean once more. Then maybe your heart will heal and shed a few layers of shellac.

The internet, unfortunately, tends to breed resentment because we can remain anonymous, and this gives cowards the false courage to say things, spread rumors, and do other nefarious things that they wouldn't dare do in real life.

Gregg, you know I love you man, but please do not tell me what I should or shouldn't care about! For me, the Fight Club was about a 2-3 in priority on the 10-scale.

Compared to the rest of this site, I agree with your numbers on the priority scale for sure... It was just a cool place to chill and be free with our mouths... Even though some picture posts may have been a bit overboard it was still a place I looked foward to checkin out during my gecko forum surfing...

But now it is no more because of a couple of individuals that have betrayed more than a hand full on this forum... I am just glad many are starting to see the true nature of these individuals... You can only pull the wool over peoples eyes so many times before bystanders start to catch you in the act...

Let the rest of the world know that these people CANNOT be trusted, that they HAVE broken their word, that they ARE the turds in the bowl, that if they ARE allowed in the pool the will not only pee in the water but crap on the deck.

I have NO clue who they are but I know people enough to know that you have to make an example of the bad guys to keep more bad guys from repeating the same stupid stuff over and over.

Put up a Turd List, a Not Trustworthy List, a Guaranteed to Disappoint You List and I bet you have fewer disappointing turds in the bowl.

Justice is served when the public knows.

Wes, your suggestion is a good one but it would violate the TOS of this website to post something like this publicly. I know, I know... all the 'estrogen' around here prevents us from doing this. (Actually, it is the legal aspects of slander and/or libel).

The majority of us have a "DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH" list, and even though it would vary from person to person, there are several common denominators. Trust me, the word is out as to whom can and cannot be trusted. These individuals are just shooting themselves in the foot and it will all eventually come back to bite them in the butt. If someone cannot be trusted, their reputation, ethics, and credibility will come into question and no one will do business with them.

IF a person agrees to something, IF they say they will or will not do a certain thing, and then they violate their word, go back on what they said, LIE, how can it be libelous or slanderous to publicly say so?

Speaking/writing of the truth for the SAKE of the truth is not in any way an attack on the liar, merely an acknowledgment of what they are.

I would be HAPPY to post a list of known liars so long as I had proof to back it up, which them asking for admission to FC would entail.

Scumbags deserve NO respect or benefits of doubt.

I just dislike in the extreme when my friends get pooped on and feel they can't do anything, or not nearly enough, about the pooper.

Wes, posting a 'list' would only create more drama, resentment and anger in an already fragile community. I see absolutely NO benefit from doing such. Also, it would open up legal issues, and quite frankly, GeckoForums does not have the financial security that some other websites have for legal representation. Also, I think I can speak for Kelli and the rest of the MOD SQUAD that we already have enough on our plates to have to deal with the added stress, frustration, and despair of a full-blown public poo slinging war amongst the GF members.

I think it's best to close this thread until Kelli can review it and decide whether or not to keep it open.

Kelli and the MOD SQUAD have decided to keep this thread open. We think it's important to get issues aired-out, but at the same time do not want to foster resentment and anger. If we can do this, hopefully we can move past this immediate problem and each of us learn how our own actions contribute to the drama and bad feelings between us. We ALL play a very important role in how the community functions and thrives!

Yes the FC was a fun place to wind down and have fun. I am all for the forum coming back WITHOUT the NEGATIVITY of arguements. The bickering wasn't the draw to the forum, it was the "adult lounge" that was the enjoyable part for most of us.

I am proud to be on a few "don't buy" lists... gives me the chance to prove those people wrong and laugh at them :main_laugh::main_laugh::main_laugh::main_laugh: :main_laugh:
