I absolutely LOVE that first male. Is that a typical Jungle pattern? I will admit I don't know too much about all the morphs. Does that pattern change as they get older? Do they loose the pattern or loose any coloring when they get older? I've noticed it in some geckos. I'm starting to think that i would definitly like my next gecko to be a jungle morph. I LOVE geckos with lots of different colors and patterns or spots on them. :D

Nice geckos and all but I am wondering what exactly the head pattern article is going to contain... And I do not believe that bold stripes are at all dominant... JMO...

You'll just have to wait and see... ;) It's a simple observation article for my website with information I've compiled from various breeders... it's at least still 4-6 weeks out... should be fun when it's completed.

As for bold stripes being dominant... please let me clarify that in my original post I'm talking about R2 LINE bold stripes... their head patterns/bold markings do seem very dominant, even when outcrossed to banded normals. Maybe Marcia can throw some of her observations our way with some of her photos?

I love the afghan. I love seeing leopard geckos that look like they do in the wild.

I've been working with R2 Bold Stripes for since 2002. They are NOT dominant. I have NEVER produced any Stripes when breeding Stripe to Banded unless the Banded is Het Stripe. Not one.

Here's a couple good examples of R2 Bold Stripe x Normal Banded. Note the bold bands and the circleback on the one. Also note the head markings and little lose "band". Many of the Bold Stripe crosses have these traits but not all of them.

You have to remember that I have not only worked with the R2 line for longer than anyone else (as far as I know anyway), but I have also done more Bold Stripe X non Bold Stripe than anyone else.
