Hey everyone!
I have missed you all so much, so I thought I would update you on some things. I've been busy with a couple things, including an addiction to an online game, so I haven't spent much time on here at all.
Of course I will add a bunch of pictures! XD I've taken so many since last time I was online that I have to show some. So here is what has been happening...
Ares, my fire skink has settled in and started eating regularly. She spends most of her time in her hide box, which I put some moss in and she really seems quite comfortable in it. Lol. Other than that she comes out when she is hungry and thirsty. She knows where her food dish is and is quite the big eater. Occasionally she takes on a super, but she really does prefer mealies. She is a very neat eater, but very messy otherwise. Every now and again you will catch her with her head peering out of her hide with a pile of dirt on top of her head. It's funny to see.
Ares, my heffer, is doing really well as well. He seems to really enjoy the latest set up of his home and will even occasionally climb up onto his hammock and lie down. He must feel more secure because now he sleeps outside of his hides, with his legs spralled out behind him (I have a picture! XD). As usual he prefers being hand fed rather then eating out of a bowl. I usually drop it in and let him chase it down on his own. XD Though sometimes he just gets lazy and stares at it. He has grown a significant amount since I have had him. He was 73g when I first got him, now he is well over 90g. Like I said, my Heffer.
Okay, now for the update on the mealie colony which I started ages ago. I had almost lost hope when I was cleaning out the bodies and noticed tiny little things crawling around. After more inspection I noticed that there was a vast amount of baby mealies crawling around in the tub. So, SUCCESS! XDDD
