i read the two on here and a few on fauna... after reading for a while and seeing what he said to kelli I was disgusted.

I am also disgusted that he considerd himself a christian. I am a christian and can in no way see any excuse for the words he's spoken to his "customers" or "possible customers". I truly hope he gets help!!!

It really seems like Matt went to the Chris Johnson School of Business. Only difference is that Chris went quietly like one of those really potent 'SBD' farts and Matt apparently wants to go out with a bang. Not sure which I despise more, but at least Matt didn't get any of my money. I had actually thought about buying a thermostat from him a while back. Glad I didn't.

Sorry you have to go through this. Best of luck with Paypal; I've never had to deal with their fraud department, but there are plenty of horror stories on the net.

Now, I'm not defending Matt (since I obviously don't know him) and I'm not putting anyone here down...but come on folks. Let it go already

Yes, he is a jerk, and has poor business ethics (there is my second and last comment on him)...but it doesn't need to be taken to that level

He never returned an e-mail, with the exception of letting me know he had the thermostat sent directly to me from the company and the second being the tracking number. No phone calls were returned. When I did make my comment on the BOI, he reacted by calling me a liar and claimed we had spoken on the phone. Personally, after what he said about me on Fauna, I think I was justified in being angry and using harsh words. I could have and wanted to say much worse but i held back. Sometimes our emotions get the better of us, especially when people push the "right" buttons.

I've posted close to 3,000 posts on Fauna. Until that post from Matt I had never cursed on a public forum. It was one of the most evil posts I had ever read. It was made by someone who claimed friendship to Kelli and many others. There is a difference between being a jerk and being rotten to the core. What was posted was vile.

As far as taking it to far, I don't think it has reached its peak yet. Fauna was setup not only as a means to let the public know who they should do business with on-line but also to give a little peer pressure to those that will respond to it. Matt made is good reputation on Fauna. It's rightfully being taken away by his own hand.

When someone has repeatedly attacked their customers, attacked the reputations of good people doing business online out of spite, they will have little sympathy from me.

I would like to know though. Who has threatened Matt? Other than people refusing to do business with him. I've have seen countless threats from Matt to others.

In my opinion, the only person that has taken this to far is Matt. His customers still waiting on their products and/or refunds would likely disagree as well.

However, I don't think this thread has been taken anywhere NEAR the point of which it would be justified to go (mainly by Kelli who has too much class to "go there"). Matt has asked - no begged - for each and every response. The day you get a hit that is SOOOOO far below the belt such as this, maybe you will understand this is not just "a school yard fight".

If anyone doesn't agree with the argument and would still be willing to order from him, so be it, but his reputation for POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES speaks volumes and will ultimately lead to the demise of this company.

I apologize if it sounds like I'm jumping your case, but I'm not sure you understand the "big picture" of what has been going on for months and that this was just the cherry on top of a rotten sundae.

Yes, he screwed people over and is rude...but it needs to be dropped. Don't stoop to his level. Be the bigger person and let it go. Everyone knows about his business ethics now and I'm sure they won't buy from him anymore. It's just beating a dead horse IMHO

I think the "big picture" is matt has ripped people off for to long and this thread and any other thread about him is well deserved IMHO.

I lost ALL and ANY respect for him long ago, but after that comment he made to Kelli, yeah I wanted to jump through my computer screen and ring his neck!

Maybe you haven't lost someone close to you, maybe you have. If someone that was supposed to be your friend threw something in your face about it, you would be upset end of story. People need to know what he is and what he stands for and it isn't the big Christian he claims to be.
