I was just doing my regular egg checks and noticed a gecko hatched that wasn't due for quite awhile. So I looked at it and noticed the high white coloring. This is only weird because the egg was from a tang x tang pairing. This egg only took a month and 10 days to hatch when usually eggs incubated at 82 degrees take just under two months. I figured I made a mistake labeling but I looked at my records and eggs and I'm almost positive I didn't. Has anyone hatched out a gecko that looked like this from a tang x tang pairing? I'm excited to see what happens!

WOW! That's really crazy! You SURE you didn't mix anything up? Has anyone else been around the eggs? Looks kinda snow-ish to me...

i thought it looked snowish as well but each of my breeder females has their own egg container in the incubator and i really am pretty sure i didn't label it incorrectly..i guess we'll have to wait and find out! and nobody else goes near my eggs! haha

I assume you're sure about the genetic history of your tangs, right? I do have a tang that no one would ever think was a snow unless they had seen her as a hatchling.

I have one that looks very similar to the one Kelli posted. It's tongue is pale, I'm not sure if it white though. I'll try to get a good look. It came out white and very dark black. I'll try to get a shot of it, but I don't have a decent camera here with me right now.

I believe the story behind Kelli's pic is that she hatched out a anerythristic?, but a few weeks later died. The tongue was pale and so it could be a way to tell.

These are the best two shots I can get with my cell phone. I'm don't think mine is anery, but it came out noticeably darker black (really velvety) and very bright white. None of it's sibs came out looking the same.

Whatever it is there is something different about this Leo as opposed to it's siblings. It has a pink tongue. When it hatched it had the same marks on it's back legs as the hatchling Kyle posted. Those marks are breaking up now.
