With the choices above what would you consider the best and healthiest feeder?
Yes, there may be more, but this is what is available at local pet shops.

I also know that wax worms should only be treats. So please don't rant on them.

Crickets are good but they tend to stink. Superworms are freakin' huge so most of my geckos don't even try to eat them. Waxworms are good as treats, not their regular staple because it's very fatty. So I voted Mealworms.

+1, mealworms are great feeders. And i breed my own so besides some vegetables every other day they are free. Maybe like $5 in veggies a month for about 1300 feeders. And i could produce a lot more than that i just don't keep all my beetles.

I use mealworms for a staple with mine, however also utilize locusts for my leos, they love them and they don't stink.

If you're after healthiest feeder of the above, I'd say fully gutloaded crickets for sure.

Often times pet stores give wrong information. They still house hermit crabs in gravel at my local ********, and they swear that they are doing the right thing.

Therefor I rather not listen to what pet stores say, rather i go to the internet (this forum is here for a reason), and do research on an animal.

They all have pros and cons but im not sure about mealworms as a staple diet. They are fatty, Ca:p ratio is way off, and their substrate isn't healthy. JMO

I chose crickets out of the options given as i think they are the best. In my opinion active food that they need to hunt gives them exercise and is better for them. Mealworms just makes them fat and lazy :( I like to give mealworms to skinny/growing geckos but on just mealworms Yoshi got fat and now i only give him roaches because theyre less fatty and he gets exercise catching them.

I prefer roaches over other feeders as they are good nutritionally and not too hard to catch and my geckos love chasing them :)

I also prefer locusts over crickets as they dont stink and arent as creepy looking ;)

Get some roaches online and set up a small colony!
Once established you get free feeders with the best nutritional values, don't smell and are easy to care for!!
I voted crickets from the list but only feed roaches now with waxies as a treat!!
