I had a large group of boxies for awhile, but with the divorce came a new place with no real backyard and a converted garage, so I had to find them new homes. Been kicking around the idea of getting a redfoot, but not sure how keen I am on the prospect of literally grocery shopping for pet food. I'd have to get a pretty good deal on one to do it.
I just remember how expensive it was to feed the monkey-tailed skinks I used to have (back when you could get one for $75 at a show...I made the stupid decision to sell mine like a month before they closed off their importation.the baby alone went from roughly worth $100 to being worth almost $750, almost overnight. I was literally nauseous for weeks after that. Proof positive that a person needs to keep up with herp news...

Sigb...Solomon island ground boa? Candoia are probably my favorite boas, really primitive snakes. I had a pair of the smaller tree boas that lived in a ficus in the sunroom of a house I used to have.it was pretty cool, they would never leave the tree.i even fed them in the tree, it was so sweet.i really miss that sunroom...

Styx - I'd love to see frogs pics! I'm just getting into frogs; they are so pretty and I like having something that's low maintenance for a change. P. terribilis are the all yellow darts right? Are the isopods for frog food or pets?

I think I'm going to have to get a tarantula at some point so I can finally conquer my fear of spiders...

3-striped mud turtles are the second smallest species of turtle in the U.S. (the smallest being the wicked-awesome Bog turtle...alas, federally protected, and ridiculously expensive for cb).they are the smallest hatchlings, literally fitting inside the outline of a nickel.full grown,a big 3-stripe is 5" long, roughly 4" being the average.I choose mud turtles for a reason...the trio will never outgrow a 55 gal tank.they're in a 10 gal now; when they outgrow it eventually, they'll move to a 20 long, then a 55 as their adult habitat.I'll be glad when they move to a bigger tank, because I'll be able to add fish , plants, and inverts to the tank

Jetfire, yup, Mine are St. Isabel local. Pretty much my favorite snakes along with balls.

Amanda, you got it. I'll see about taking some photos this week. P. terribilis come in yellow, orange, and mint. I have the mint variety. The isopods are kind of both. I like them and all and enjoy having them, but they're also got eating.

Yep, i've got a bunch of wc isopods, had them for half a year, got my first baby iso's after 6 months. They're easy to take care of. I feed them leaf litter and some random table scraps, and mist them three times a week.
