Government buildings that are a pain in the ass to get ANYTHING done. Like the DMV.. or in my case, AZ Department of Economic Security.. Basically, I had to renew my insurance, and I accidentally missed my first interview because I totally forgot about it (long story, but it IS justified, I think lol).. so the piece of paper that I have tells me that I need to call the office.. so I call the office, which is automated.. they give me another number to call, which is also automated.. the second number refers me back to the first one.. so I call back the first one to find that if I hold on and listen to the automated message long enough, they eventually tell me to "hold to talk to an operator".. UGH..

Anyway, so I finally figure out that I could have just pressed 0 the entire time. I know, that's my bad.. but once I finally get to this point, NOONE FUCKING ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!! MOTHER FUCKERS!! I swear I've called so many times, it's ridiculous.. I've even called non-stop, for an hour and half straight before, just to see if it would make someone answer.. NOPE. So, I end up figuring out the extension numbers.. I found that 1001 worked, so I started from there, all the way up to 1030, trying to find my caseworker named Bobbie (who RADIATES intelligence *sarcasm*).. I couldn't find her.. at this point, I just start calling random case workers to see if they can help me reschedule an interview..

First bitch says she'll help, then hangs up on me. Second person helps, and forwards me to another extension, which never answers, and the mailbox to leave a message is full. Third person helps, and forwards me to someone who never answers, but I CAN leave a message.. so I do. Never hear anything back from them (this was yesterday).

So today, I was already out and about (I have to ride the city bus everywhere I go), so I figured "Why not just go down there and get your appointment scheduled." WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Not only was it an extra hour just to get there, it was another hour waiting in the horrendous line.. I finally get to the front desk to schedule an appointment, and some kind of ridiculous fight breaks out between these other two bitches.. I don't even give a damn, but it made the woman that was helping me feel rushed. She was trying to find an appointment time for me, but then couldn't find one..

So after all of the waiting, and all of the previous bull shit, she feels pressed for time and still can't find an open appointment for me. Oh, but here's the real kicker.. because other people are bitchin', she feels the need to say, "I'm sorry, but we have a lot of people here just to reschedule interviews, so it takes a lot longer".. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BITCH, IF YOU PEOPLE COULD MANAGE TO ANSWER A FUCKING PHONE, I WOULDN'T BE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

But, I kept my mouth shut.. one thing I didn't want to do is piss her off, since I NEED her to help me. After all of this, she says she will make an appointment for me and call me later on today, as she writes a little note to herself. She literally promised me she would do it, and not forget. Fine, whatever.. I take her word for it, and leave.. I didn't really feel like I had any other choice. Then of course, it takes another hour on the bus to get back to where I started.

Well.. now it's 6:30pm and GUESS WHAT!! NO PHONE CALL!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! FUCKED AGAIN!! So I guess I will see if anyone decides to call me tomorrow.. if not, I have to go back down to the office and try again on Thursday, I guess.. I don't fuckin' know. If I don't get another interview before the 29th, then my application will be denied. WHOOOPIE!!!!

Sounds similar to my adventure dealing with Immigration Canada. Why do government-run agencies suck so bad?????

Because it's a "serve us" type of thing, as opposed to "service".. we NEED THEM and they know it, so they take their sweet ass time when it comes to helping or doing anything.. and I'm sure it's not true for all workers.. but it sure does piss me off how they don't seem to give a damn about the people.
