I'm considering either some thinly sliced ribeye beef marinated in korean BBQ sauce or chinese dumplings with tasty chinest BBQ sauce mixed w/soy sauce....decisions decisions. Obviously i have a thing for asian cuisine, and i'm not talking the crap you get as "Joe's Chinese Hut" or something like that...this is not sweet & sour chicken or general tso's, it's traditional stuff you get at an asian grocery store. I LOVE traditional asian food, especially chinese. Bring on the baby octopus, beef intestines and so on, num num num
We're having breakfast for dinner tonight... bacon, tomato, green onion, avocado & cheese omeletes, with fried country potatoes and English muffins. Mmmmm!
Chicken and vegetable curry (i make it myself and don't use any coconut cream or milk, that stuff aint good for ya) served on a bed of basmati rice (healthy and low GI)
Tastes great.
In the past wednesdays were takeout night because i go grocery shopping after work and get home late, usually too late to start cooking anyway so i would stop off at MC Donald's or KFC But i vowed never to eat that stuff again, its extremely poor from a nutritional standpoint and is guaranteed to make you ill. always made me ill, damn macky D's! lol
Wowwww I'm getting hungry looking at this thread!!! LOL. Tonight I had scrambled eggs and orange juice lol nothing special. I usually make my own food so I go the easy way lol nothing fancy. But Oh! last night and this morning I had a green chilli and shredded beef burrito!!!! My friends mom is THE BEST cook ever!!! it was spicy and soooooo goooooooood!!! MMMMM!!!!
Iv never had Lobster, whats it taste like....i usally have, pasta, erm...pizza... roast.... chicken... soup...fresh veg ... pasta salad stuff like that
Hmm...
Depends on what's in season, really. We live about half an hour from the coast, and we have, shall we say 'connections'
So we can get extremely fresh, extremely cheap Maine lobster without too much effort; as well as haddock, tuna, and various other fish.
Milk comes from a cow farm owned by one of my Dad's patients.
We get alot of our veggies ourself, from farmer's markets or gathering from the woods.
Eggs - both duck and chicken - come from either my neighbour or one of my friends.
We also get a lot of 'game' type meat.
The only things we really get at the store are 'farm' meats, grains and condiments
On that note, we're having grilled moose steak and sweet potato fries with fiddleheads tonight
I guess this isn't exactly dinner but I tried some new frozen bread dough (I have trouble getting scratch bread to rise) and I'm not sure if it turned out how it was supposed to. This is the tallest bread I've ever seen! :main_laugh:
