LOL okay we will have to trade places for a few weeks, you can come here and take care of our geckos, and we'll go there and take care of yours. You can have ALL the Mexican you want and we'll eat Philly cheesesteaks :main_laugh:

I have lived in AZ for 6 years now; I grew up in a small town in VA, who had just put up their second traffic light after I moved away ;)

Mmm. I definitely miss the cheesesteaks from the South Jersey/Philly area. I was born in Philly and moved to South Jersey when I was 12. Recently moved here to FL. =/

Tonight for dinner: Tacos and Chili Cheese fries. <3

I don't know if I would trade.
I love the cheese steaks.
But we also have a really nice mexican restaurant next to me with mexican owners. And they have the best food. But I can't get away from their beef burritos. I eat like 5 of them in 10 minutes. Lol. And their chips with salsa is good.

I had to resurrect this thread because we just had a great dinner. I usually botch my first new recipe attempt but not this one! We've been trying to substitute ground turkey for ground beef in an effort to cut a few fat grams from the diet and this is by far the best ground turkey recipe I've found - Turkey Kofte with Apple Riata. If you love Greek/Mediterranean food, you'll like this recipe and it's really easy to make. :D

Tonight I had a bbq chicken and shrimp combo with white rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad from Ono Hawai'ian BBQ. I use a lot of sriracha and teriyaki sauce on the chicken, and squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp. I could live on bbq. There are four or five different Hawai'ian style bbq places in my area, two traditional American style places, and two Korean bbq places. They all have their own styles. I haven't bbqed my own stuff since the last time I moved. I left my bbq pit behind.

I had piri piri Chicken with stir fried vegetables and rice.

I know how bad heart burn can be. Mine is triggered by most tomato based foods and sauces. Spicy food like chilly, bbq's and curry are fine.
