I absolutely think that if I can't accidently 'popped' the egg, this little one would have died from having a septic egg/yolk. I have never had an egg explode like that... EVER! Just the slightest pressure is all it took. Maybe the inside of the egg getting all foul like that caused there to be internal pressure in there?

Anyway, I just got through slurry-feeding this little 'wee', and it gurgle-growled at me when I picked it up. This is a very good sign that it is acting just like a Nephrurus levis should act. hehehe.

Little Jabba 2 is doing just fine! I'm going to sort through my crickets tonight to bind a few little tiny one and see if he/she will eat on it's own. It has no problem with the slurry... and it's so cute seeing the tiny little tongue lapping it up with it all over it's face!

YAY! I'm so happy that this little one is doing well for you, Marcia. You really needed this. :) ::Hugs::

I know this thread's a few days old but I just saw the pics. Oh my god! This little guy wins first and second prize for CUTEST LIZARD EVER. I'd love to see more pics for him.

I guess you're going with Jabba for the name? That's cute as well. I would have gone with something more dramatic like Lazarus or....Hope or something. lol

The little one is not ready to eat on it's own yet, so it's slurry until it can. N. levis are very nervous and easily stressed, so the crickets just freaked the little thing out. They have been noted to actually die of heart-attacks from the stress of too many crickets at a time in thier enclosure!
