Excuse his shell, his breeder and I have come to the conclusion that he is going through an awkward "teenage" growth spurt.
You know, like puppies go through that awkward weird looking stage. His shell is catching up, and I can tell that it's smoothing out, but for a while, he was growing so fast that his edges (the rings) around his scutes were growing faster than the scutes themselves. That's why he went on a diet.
Plus, I misted him right before we went out, but the sun dried him very quickly and I forgot the water bottle. The stuff on him is dry moss specks.

"Ish nommy leaf."
"Iz dandelion 4 meee?"
I love how his mouth gets grass stains on it because he mows the lawn when he's outside.
