Well....thanks to you all for making this so much fun for us, and thanks for your incredible input and awesome names you came up with!
This is one special gecko, the first baby of Godzilla ever released, so we thought he deserved special attention. Thanks to Steve Sykes for allowing us this honor to obtain such an awesome animal and great addition to our collection. Baby Godzilla will be housed in a large terrarium at the entrance to our new store...he will be our showpiece and a great way to greet people, especially new people to our gecko world.
The naming process/selection was VERY difficult. We narrowed it down to about ten, but they were all amazing and we will definitely use some of them for other leos in the future.
It was very tough! I changed my mind a few times. Friends, co-workers, neighbors, and many of you joined in this chorus! My wife and a few others strongly urged to name him "Zilla". But I felt he had to have something different and did not want to infringe on the name of his father in any way!
So, without further delay.......please let me introduce to you all.......

T REX!
I am amazed that none of the forum folks suggested that name....maybe it was too obvious. And I'm sure he'll have many nicknames, like Mr. T....Rex....Rexxy.....etc. But T Rex it is. Hope you like it.
The person who first suggested the name is the winner and she is not on any reptile forum. But as we have said we would, there will be a $25 donation to the forum, and we'll put the donation in the name of Steve, the creator of the Godzilla breeding project and provider of our newest addition to the family....T Rex.
We will soon post the three winners of the collector's item silver pewter gecko......so please stay tuned. We'll get that done ASAP.
Best wishes and many thanks for indulging us and having some fun with geckos!
