Steve and I decided to put off shipping Baby Godzilla until next week due to crappy weather. I'd prefer to wait until I have the monster child in my hand to be sure the name fits him....please don't stop now....you guys have had some super creative super giant ideas!

As consolation prizes, we will draw 3 post entries out of a hat and those folks will be sent one of our commemorative pewter gecko figurines as a thank you "Baby Godzilla shower gift".

Thanks for a fun thread and for taking the time to give us your great ideas!

Um ... Thor. :tongue3:

Lmao, that was going to be my suggestion :p I actually had a dog named Thor, so even though it's a bit cliche, I have an attachment to the name.

My entry with be my DH's suggestion which is "tiny" lol.

ETA: Damn, I just read back and "tiny" was already suggested. Ok, I need to rethink this...(or get DH to rethink it, lol)

Blunderbore
Triton
Quetzlcoatl
Cimbri

--I personally like Cimbri the best. The name explanations are below :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The name of the giant at the top of the beanstalk in Jack and the Beanstalk was Blunderbore

The Tritons were a race of giant gods, spawned by the interbreeding of Poseidon with a mortal woman named Cleito. In some versions of the story they are part-fish. Some are said to have escaped the flood that destroyed Atlantis - - so, Triton

Quetzlcoatl was the giant white god who appeared to native South Americans and founded their civilizations, according to their folktales. He too is depicted supporting the Earth on his shoulders, and he told the natives that the civilization from which he originated was destroyed by a flood which he escaped by building a ship.

The Cimbri were giants living in Celtic Gaul. They had long manes of blond hair and a fierce, warlike demeanor, all of which lead them to be compared to lions. They were also known as the “Cimmerians”, which may be suggestive of a Sumerian connection

A name that I really enjoy because of the lore behind it is Chimaera,
Its a mythical creature with the head of a lion, breathes fire body of a goat and tail of a serpent, and who could deny the fact that most leo's wave there tail around like it was a snake being charmed :-D

Well he's got a fiery look to him so why not
"Surtur"- (from the Norse of course... yay rhymes)
"Ymir"- (ditto)
Of course "Baby-eater" is always a good giant name. You can call him "B" for short.
I don't think I saw "Atlas" on here either, so there's always that.

Hurray for ginormous geckos!
