Could be a real light colored normal but resembles a Line Breed Snow, LBS!

-How long ago did your friend buy this guy?
-Does he have pics of him as a hatchling?

The only problem with snows is that some are hard to tell exactly if they are. Only way to be 100% positive its a snow is to test breed it.

It doesn't look normal to me...but I couldn't tell you what morph it is either. Not very familiar with snows, blizzards, or patternless. =)

That picture is taken directly from FallenAngel's Geckos website. http://www.fallenangelgeckos.com/ Go to available geckos, it's the last gecko pictured. The genetics of the gecko are disclosed right there. The gecko is a normal 50% het for Tremper Albino.

Not to be a party pooper or anything, but do you have permission to be posting Jess's photos?

Well I would think so since I just bought both the geckos yesterday (one for my friend). She is super nice too(Jess) and I am not taking credit for the photo so I dont think it's a big deal. :)

I know it's genetics are also posted there, but it still doesn't look exactly normal to me. So will it be very light or gain any more color is what I suppose I am asking? Especially since the partens were Mack snow X Snow, how does a normal pop out of that?

One thing that would be helpful to you is to contact Jess and ask her for more information about the gecko's genetics. For instance, i may sell a gecko and describe it as a SHTCT but may not add that one parents is a mack snow (in this case I wouldn't need to because the gecko in question didn't get the mack snow gene and has no snow genetics) or that one parent is a red stripe since the gecko was born banded. I think that the majority of geckos being labeled as "normal" are very different from the original mustard yellow highly spotted wild type. In my case I sometimes label a gecko as "normal" if none of the other categories fit and it approximates yellow color with spotting.

Thanks, that makes sense. I suppose I will ask her sometime if it comes down to breeding him to something else. I just saw him (as well as my friend) and thought he looked super neat for being labeled as something "normal" compared to all the others I've seen.

I am trying to learn more and more about the genetics of leos, but it's proving to be more difficult for me than understanding something like ball python morphs which I can easily do for w/e reason. lol :main_rolleyes:

I think its' just all the different names, for example
mack snow
mack snow patternles
mack super snow ect ect...all the different types!

it's not about taking credit or not for the photo. it is about using a photo without the photographers permission. even though the gecko may be yours the photo is not. yeah i am a stickler because i am a photographer as well. you posting her photo without permission from the photographer is copyright infringement. which is also against this sites TOS
