I've seen a few people on here mention that they give their leo fruits some times. Is this acceptable? How often can you give them this? What fruits are recommended?

I'd imagine that fruit would be beneficial to a leo in small amounts as they're high in nutrients and moisture.

I was also thinking about giving Stripes some fruits but I was sure what fruit and how much to give him.

I've heard that they eat fruit if presented to them but I've never tried it. If you intend to try fruit I would have it mashed and only give small amounts.

I heard you can give them fruit, apparantly some geckos go crazy for grapes. But I've also heard you can't give them citrus fruits. I'm not too sure of the truethfulness in these statements but you never know, so if you do be careful lol.

Well one day i put a pice of a grape in my tank for my feeders to eat and my leo ended up eating it. Some people have told me that they feed the leos grapes and apples sometimes but i have only done it once and its was not intentional

I might agree with Rodders... I don't know much about geckos, but I know that certain citruses can actually be fatal to humans with kidney problems, so I bet they'd be dangerous for a little gecko. My favorite citrus, the starfruit, can be dangerous for people. I've seen people give geckos little apple pieces and I heard grapes are good, too... When it comes to grapes, it might be best to peel the skin off and quarter it so it's a small, soft piece and it would be easy for the gecko to digest. If they like it, I don't see how it would be bad unless you're giving them too many or are using them as a replacement for an insect diet. To be safe, I'd treat them like they're waxworms and not give too much.

I wonder if it is? I'll ask Sappho. Who knows, she might respond. I agree, this is a job for MOGL.

She's a superhero. :D

I was thinking about giving her a lick of juice to help with her erm...constipation. For some reason she hasn't pooed in the last...four days now? I had to give her a warm bath this morning - which she gurgled all the way through (was weird as it was the first sound I've ever heard her make) but she had a bowel movement just like that. I don't want to have to keep doing that to her though so I might try giving her a tiny bit of fruit sometimes.

(Also, I know what's causing the constipation - she doesn't like crickets very much but eats a lot of mealies and supers which have less moisture content. :\ I've checked her over multiple times for any darkness on her tummy but she's as healthy as a horse.)

And which one is MOGL? lol
