This is really an update for the first clutch, they've changed the most. And it's also an exercise in photography for me... my wife has been showing me the ropes, and I can finally take my own pics that I am happy with. Just to let you know, I use lightroom to make up for my lack of knowledge, and here's what I have done to these photos:

I crop them to zoom in, since she only let's me play with one lens, and it won't get within two feet or so and still focus. Then I hit the "auto" button. The program then bumps up the exposure and downs the contrast to make up for it, all of which is to make up for some aspect of taking the pic that I can't keep straight... something that makes all of my pics dark. It balances out the light, that's it I think.

I don't think this is out of bounds as far as editing goes, but would be fine with hearing about it if you think it is. The last pic is totally untouched so you can see what I'm talking about.

Anyway... here they are. I've hatched 6 eggs, gotten 5 enigmas, 3 of them NOVA's. And the funny thing is, I think the eclipse is my favorite of them all. What do you think?

I already know what you're gonna say, Kristi23 :p

Both parents have distinct head speckling, and I hope it passes on to the babies. It has for the first clutch, I just hope the NOVAs get it too...

Yes, the eclipse is my favorite. They're all really nice though! Congrats!

Thanks, Kristi. I knew you would say that. :p

That eclipse is the most psycho leo I have ever owned. He doesn't bite or anything, but he really runs and jumps and tries to get away.

BTW- the eclipse is visually sexed male, the first BEE visually sexed female. All the others are younger than I want to say for certain.

Isn't that weird? The eclipse is the "lowest rung" of the possible outcomes from that pair, genetically speaking, I guess, unless you just don't like enigmas. I've got two more eggs that should hatch next week, and I'm hoping for bottom of the barrel. :)

And I find it a bit frustrating that I haven't gotten one single RAPTOR yet...
