So... finally, I hatched out my first enigma. :) As some of you may know, I've had a really rough week with some major health things going on, so this little one really helped boost my morale.

The pairing was my tangerine engima (now proven het Raptor) X Aptor het Raptor. It was the only good egg out of three previous failed clutches from this female, so I was estatic that I not only hatched an enigma, but a tremper too! The hatching is a tremper enigma, 66% het RAPTOR... with some CT showing to boot, she'll be staying here. :) Now I just need to come up with a name...

I hope you enjoy her!

Great Coloring on that Tremper Enigma! :main_thumbsup: Congrats!

tangerine engima (now proven het Raptor)

I'm curious though as to how this leo proved to be het RAPTOr? Did you mean it proved to be het Tremper? Wouldn't the hatchling have to be a RAPTOr Enigma (aka, Nova) for the leo in question to be a proven het RAPTOr? I just want to make sure I understand correctly is all. Thanks for the clarification!

Thats a great question, actually... it's a little complicated but I'll give it a shot.

The enigma male that I used for this project, his father was an enigma het raptor, and his mother was an eclipse het raptor. This made him a 'tangerine enigma' 100% het eclipse, possible het tremper(or raptor, since he already carries the eclipse trait).

So.. I bred him to one of my favorite Aptor het Raptor females to prove out the albino part of things, and viola! :) I'm very excited to have proven him out with the only viable egg from the pairing, and actually, my last of the season. :)

I hope that helps clear up any confusion....
