I do not wish to post anything on your sight at this time. Asking me to make a post after the fact (which you still haven’t asked me personally) and never receiving an email about me and my business being put on the BOI is clearly a violation of your own TOS. Your sight is not run fairly and you can choose to run it how you wish. But the breaking of your own TOS shows that you and your “team” can force opinions to be clouded in any way you see fit for your own gain and I do not wish to be part of that. I am seeking legal council about you and your sight against this thread and a few other topics that I can not discuss at this time.



As far as my side of the story I will post it else where and I will also address the violations of Gecko forums on my business.

He is threatening to sue me for providing an outlet for people here on GeckoForums.

Calm down hun. I dont think he's threatening to sue you. I think he is saying that because of certain unfairnesses and TOS violations, which he wishes not to disclose, he is looking for equal and balanced reprocussions for each incodence. That's what I got out of it anyway.

The guy is threatening legal action against me. Which, by the way, it is possible Ryan DID in fact send Matt an email about this thread. I have no idea. In any event I'm quite sure he has been aware of it for some time, and not once did he request to make a post.

Oh I'm not worried that he really will sue me! It's just the fact that he is threatening to that irks me, hollow threat or not.

Everybody - I'm trying to make things as fair as I can with this forum. I am offering it as a tool for all of us to use. Things aren't always going to be perfect though, and it's going to be a "learn as you grow" type things, as GeckoForums has always been.

I have certainly not been the only member here making sarcastic gestures, take a quick look at some of your previous posts. Perhaps it offends you because I am not chained to either side of this discussion. And to be perfectly honest, Matt had promised me extra geckos as an apology for the long wait several weeks before this thread opened. He asked me what I am working with or what I like. I said that my largest projects are Radar combos and pure Eclipse stuff and that for sake of conversation I think W&Y are awesome. So yes, I do feel that I would have received these gifts. I don't know how me telling my honest and point blank story is a slap in the face to anyone. If it has been interpreted in this way, I am sorry to the individuals. I think it's great that Pat has worked with Ryan to find a solution to their problem. But wasnt it just a short while ago that you were down Pat's throat for insulting your intelligence? No offense or personal coerce meant, but I think you need to start seeing the bigger pictures instead of the individual posts. Take a minute and assess the entire situation before reaching a conclusion

After reading everything I am really just disappointed. Although I am new to this forum I have been part of the reptile community for quite some time and have corresponded with Matt on different occasions. Up until about a year ago, he seemed to me like a very respectable and cordial business man. My short history with Matt is basically he had my name for a holiday gift exchange on another forum. Awesome, right? Or so I thought. At that time I was just starting my Afghan line and was looking for a male. Matt told me that he would reserve a male from his line and send him to me for the gift exchange. Well weeks pass, then months. I contact Matt and he tells me several shows waaaay out of my vicinity that he will bring "my" male to -because ya know, we can all just up and walk out of our jobs and life responsibilities for three days to go pick up a gecko half way across the U.S. So after bouncing texts back and forth and him saying I will ship I will ship, SYR goes down...fml. He was perfectly unwilling to ship me "my" male for twice the shipping price... he could have put him in a darn box months ago!!! Anyways, I knew SYR would be back soon so recently when it came up I texted Matt yet againnnn asking about "my" male. He said he still has one and he will ship it to me when the weather is better OH and he will throw something else in for the long wait... Honestly that would be awesome, but waiting over a year for a dumb holiday gift exchange has really bothered me. Dont get me wrong, I have contemplated just friggin buying my own Afghan male from someone else, but I suppose all this time I was hoping Matt would come through on his word. So my Sfghan female did not breed last year, hopefully she will have a proper suiter this season. She is ovulating and unless Matt really comes through with this one, I cant think of many good things to say.. sad days.

I would like to start off this post with a sincere apology to Matt Baronack for being so quick to piggyback on others misfortunes. It is often hard to remember that there are indeed two sides to every story. I have been in contact with Matt since my afore mentioned post and he made a great effort to clear the air with me. He was cordial, humorous, and very respectful during our entire conversation. He really surprised me more than I had ever expected. First off, he gave me the choice between two gorgeous Afghan males. Next...now here is where it gets crazy..he makes good on his word to me and throws a "little" something extra in. Included with my Afghan male are three female leos; a Mack Snow Fascio Radar, a Reverse Stripe Bell het Radar, and (sit down for this one) a Mack Snow W&Y 66% het Eclipse 50% het Raptor. As if this was not enough he also said there may be one or two more surprises in the box! They will likely be coming in on Wednesday, and be fore warned, you will be seeing loooots of pictures of these guys. I had wondered why Matt did not respond to the other thread mentioning him. It wasn't until our conversation that I found out that he cannot access this site. I don't know that I would have posted against a person or business knowing that they could not properly defend themselves. It's embarrassing really, a bit like punching someone who's blindfolded. I suppose my point through all this is that it is very easy to judge others and jump to irrational conclusions by way of the "crowd mentality," but in doing so, we forget the person who sits at the other end. Matt has gone out of his way to make amends with me and that is not something you see very often in today's world. My vote: Matt Baronack - Good Guy!!!!!

What are "fair consequences"? Do you mean that he should have had an opportunity to post in this thread? If that is what you are trying to say, well, he has had that opportunity all along. I'm not going to go out of my way to contact him about it; frankly I've got more important things to do however he could have written me at any time to ask if he could post and I would have allowed it, absolutely. SO tell me how that is not providing "fair consequences", if that is indeed what you meant by the term? The guy was banned from GeckoForums for good and valid reasons. It is NOT my responsibility to go chasing after him asking him to come post in this thread.

As far as my posts go, as the owner of this website and the one that pays the bills for it, I do cut myself just a LITTLE bit of slack. See how that works?

As far as your negative post here about Matt having nothing to do with him offering you free geckos to make up for his screw up, that's just silliness. If he had followed through in the first place you would never had to have made a negative post in the first place. Of course it made a difference.

As to why Matt's actions are a slap in the face to Ryan and Ang... are you kidding? The dude gives you hundreds of dollars worth of geckos for free because he decided not to mail you your Secret Santa gift (well actually he did it because you made it public and he wanted his "gift" to you to be posted publically) but he is unwilling to provide Retribution Reptiles with their animals that they have been waiting MONTHS for.

I havent kissed anything in weeks except my dog Too bad you're not closer or I would offer to show you the text messages of our "BS" conversation that took place on Jan 18th. Yes, even after that convo I was still not thrilled with Matt and did not hear from him since then until recently - which I can not say had nothing to do with this thread - but can you blame me? So when the opportunity arose I blew off some steam. Then Matt contacted me and amends have been made on this side of the stadium. My geckos are in transit so I am happy that I will finally get to see them.
