What are "fair consequences"? Do you mean that he should have had an opportunity to post in this thread? If that is what you are trying to say, well, he has had that opportunity all along. I'm not going to go out of my way to contact him about it; frankly I've got more important things to do however he could have written me at any time to ask if he could post and I would have allowed it, absolutely. SO tell me how that is not providing "fair consequences", if that is indeed what you meant by the term? The guy was banned from GeckoForums for good and valid reasons. It is NOT my responsibility to go chasing after him asking him to come post in this thread.

As far as your negative post here about Matt having nothing to do with him offering you free geckos to make up for his screw up, that's just silliness. If he had followed through in the first place you would never had to have made a negative post in the first place. Of course it made a difference.

As to why Matt's actions are a slap in the face to Ryan and Ang... are you kidding? The dude gives you hundreds of dollars worth of geckos for free because he decided not to mail you your Secret Santa gift (well actually he did it because you made it public and he wanted his "gift" to you to be posted publically) but he is unwilling to provide Retribution Reptiles with their animals that they have been waiting MONTHS for.

How do you expect me to know what fair consequences are when Matt has not disclosed the situations he is "sueing" you for? I do not know what he was refrencing to in his email to you, I was simply interpreting it the way I saw it, nothing more.

I don't think anyone is particularly for or against Matt posting here. He knows he can, awesome, but why would he? I just don't see the point - except to get mauled - and so far, it seems as though he hasn't either. I really could care less why an individual has been banned. I have never made a single reference to this subject in this thread so I am confused as to why you are bringing it up. And I don't recall anyone telling you that you should chase after him either. My goodness.

I don't think you are the only person who feels that my situation with Matt is "silliness" and I was certainly not expecting everyone to be supportive of the way we chose to work out our difficulties. However, I can't help but feel that those opposed to this would feel a drastic change if they were the ones receiving a box tomorrow. Jmo. And as far as me not having to blow off steam in the first place, yes, you are absolutely right. But everyone makes mistakes and burns bridges. Matt screwed up with me and rebuilt his bridge. We've all done it and I am not ashamed to say I have as well.

Like I said before, Matt had promised me extra animals to make up for the time gap weeks ago. If you choose not to believe this, that's fine it's your choice. Nonetheless, my situation has nothing to do with that of Matt and Ryan. They have been aquainted far longer and have a much deeper history than Matt and I do. I do not see how from one enthusiast to another, one would not be happy for the success of someone else. I refuse to believe the world is that bitter. I haven't talked to Matt about the dilema with Ryan, I have only read Ryans side and I do not feel that is enough information to base a conclusion on, and frankly, it is none of my business. Wait a minute. The reason he is threatening legal action is because he doesn't think it's fair that he cannot post here. So if, as you say, "why would he" then what was his point in sending me the email?

I am very happy for you that you are getting your gift from him finally, that's wonderful. I have no beef with you at all, my beef is with Matt and his thinly veiled threat to me, and his choosing not to make things right with Ryan.

You receiving some free geckos to make up for you not getting a Secret Santa gift does not make the crap he has put others through go away. I don't think your situation had anything to do with you pulling money out of your wallet, right?

Matt needs to step up to the plate and offer a solution to Ryan instead of others having to dip into their pockets to do it. Matt obviously has no problem sending out geckos to you, so why would he not do the same for Ryan, who actually spent his hard earned money with the expectation that he would receive something in return?

i do not see how one morning you say he is a bad guy and in less than 12 hours he god's gift. i guess after he viewed the "bad guy post" on here he decided to make good on your holiday gift thingy and send you your present and a big bonus. honestly, that is a kick in the teeth to ryan.

Ok, simple answer. I posted the negative comment at 3:50 am (where I am), went to bed, talked to Matt the next morning which is when he sent pics of what he was sending me. So, that afternoon I posted an apology and stated that Matt has fixed his mistake with me. I don't think he's God's gift haha, I dont even think I made that big a deal about it. I feel I gave due credit for him going out of his way to make things right with me. I wish he and Ryan could work something out, but I dont know the details there. I don't even know Ryan personally. I still do not understand how because Matt reconciled with me, I am kicking Ryan in the teeth. Really all that took place can be summed up as such: Oh Ryan, Matt didnt come through on his word with you, ah, me either. Hey, good news Matt made up for the time lost with me. Yay, hope the same for you. ...kick in the teeth?

Ok I've been putting this off for a while now. Miami Geckos, you think that you got quite literally thousands of dollars of animals for free out of the kindness of Matts heart is seriously naive. Every single one of those animals you got are animals that i requested to get with my gift card. He played you cause he knew that you would come back and run on here and post pics and attempt to piss me off.

I honestly don't give 2 craps about what he sent you. As far as some ploy to piss me off, it didn't work. It's just another stab at his business integrity. Which is seriously lacking on all fronts.

To Wrap this story up, Pat took this situation by the balls before his next Kill Crypto Auction. He offered me a 1k gift card in exchange for the 1k gift card from Matt. Seeing how Pat was taking the higher road on this situation I was a little hesitant to go along with this because I felt that Matt still needed to burn but I pushed the pride aside and talked with Pat and we came to an agreement over the feeding of a crane.

In closing, Matt is not a good businessman. He doesn't care about anyone other them himself. He's trying to save face and make himself look like the good guy by giving you for FREE 3 cutting edge geckos.

This is my thread and I don't want this Matt is a good guy Bullspit in my thread. He's not a good businessman, Hell he isn't a good human being.

I can tell you this much! I am more likely to buy from Pat after seeing what he has done to rectify a situation that he didn't have to. He did it to benefit Leopard Geckos in general in trying to keep the momentum going with the Kill Crypto Program. That is a commendable act in my book. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a gecko from Pat.

It is sad how folks have been treated in both these situations. One was screwed and the other used by someone who obviously has very little moral value and poor business ethics. I do hope things are corrected in your situation Ryan. No one deserves to be treated like you were.
