Okay, well I was behind on my egg records (have them 100% done, accurate, and up to date now) and when checking the cooker, to see when everybody was laid. I found this little bugger. I’m so super excited about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And boy is he the feistiest thing, I think I have ever come across. Well anyways he will stay here, if he does in fact stay a he, to work on the SSTA Enigma. He is a Mack Snow Enigma, het Tremper Albino. All are Mack Enigma that light color at first? I don’t want to convince myself of this, as I have never seen a hatchling snow enigma, but could the mom be het, for tremper, she was produced by the bells. I don’t think the hatchling is a tremper, but it was a thought that passed threw my head. His eyes are red though, I just couldn't get a pic with them open. So even though, I’m 95% sure it is just a Mack, the other 5% of me wants to ask to make sure.

Well anyways he here is. The only disappointment is that the other egg, which was good just a couple of days ago, went bad. You can see it in the pic, which I was a little bad about. The female has laid 12 eggs so far, 4 have gone bad, and I think another 2 are heading in the same direction.

I would have to agree, Mack Snow Tremper Enigma. I haven't seen any Enigmas with red eyes that were not albino. Congrats!

On a side note I had problems with my male incubator and eggs going bad close to hatch date. I was using, and still am but modified, a little giant with an Helix. I had to add 2.5 inches of strafoam insulation on the bottom of the lid to get a greater distance between the heating element and the eggs. I had 8 eggs go bad previously to doing this a month ago. Since then "knock on wood" I have had zero go bad.

It looks like mom is het Tremper! You should breed her to something different every season and try to prove her out. We just proved a male from the Bells to be double het Bell and Tremper. Congrats!

Congrats! Finding the first enigma hatchling is such a great feeling! It's really nice & I agree that it's albino, too.:)

That is part of the plan. I will most likely breed her to a SSLV albino next year, if I do produce one. Which I know the Bells don't work with, but it will make cool geckos. What all do the bells work with though.

Blizzard
Patternless
Bell Albino
Tremper Albino
This way I make sure to test her for everything.
