Hello,
My Phelsuma grandis has some strange black spots on its beak. What could this be?

Thank you very much and best regards

No, it's been there for several weeks now, and it hasn't gone away even after the last molt.

Not a clue! It doesn't look bad in the picture. If you continue to be concerned, consider a vet visit (not easy with a day gecko, I know).

How long have you been noticing them? New spots vs. ones that have been there a while can be pretty different.

If it survived the molt it's probably not just dirt. Is the gecko acting normal otherwise—eating fine, moving around normally? Might be worth just monitoring it for any changes.
