SUBSTRATES

Vote wich substrate you have!!:D I use Repti-Carpet...I dont use sand or any other loose substrate beacuse it is hard to clean, harbors bacteria, and can cause impaction.

SUBSTRATES....... A mix of Slate and Tile over Carpet and white paper towel for the babies.........take care . HJ

substrate...

I use hydroculture clay-fired balls (too big to eat!) with slates on top of them in the adult cage, and reptile carpet with slates in the baby cages.

Paper-Towel, Period. Also, do we really need to have another Substrate Debate? There is plenty of information via the search Function.

I use paper towels.... Not very "natural" I know...but its cheap and easy to clean, and most important- SAFE for my babies and I don't have to worry about impaction!

I like to use Slate/Tile for my Bearded Dragons, because it's easier to wipe down. I use paper towelings for my Leopard Geckos.

im another one that sais you need more options. i use unprinted news paper. i get roles of it for free, and i just cut them down to the 4 diff. sized cages i use for my leos, and even all my snakes. when i had natural looking cages i used clay tile that looked like a real dirt/clay landscape.

I use woodchips.
They look good, they smell nice and its easy to clean.
(The woodchips are big enough not to get eaten plus my gecko has mealworms in a bowl so won't accidently eat any woodchips when feeding)

Ive used repti carpet but i like Tile much better. It looks good and is easy to clean. Plus you never have to replace it. I use paper towel in my racks.
