So... this came from my Super Snow Tremper project...I paired up two Mack Snow Trempers, and I've hatched some SSTA and MSTA from the pairing... but today this funky thing came out. **edit to add** - all offspring from this pairing so far have been banded babies, so the pattern on this this is totally wonky.

I thought it was a SSTA at first, but as I looked closer, I saw the reverse stripe/patternless stripe patterning... and then I saw that funky striped tail. I figured it was just a neat patterned Mack Snow Tremper... that apparently has no neck band... also odd...

Then... I saw the weird part of it all... it had eclipse/snake eyes?!! Whaaaaaa????!!!

As far as I know, my breeding pair comes from pure MSTA and SS het Trempers, and I'm confident there was no RAPTOR blood going on. If there was a slight chance that the parents of this little one were actually het raptor, it would be under 6% or even less than that.

Maybe I have two double hets, and just hit the major jackpot? Who knows...

Let me know what you guys think!!

Not the best shot... but one of the best I was able to get with my stupid stock lens. :p

Thanks guys for the comments so far... I'm thinking it ... could... be a Mack Snow Raptor ... but again, let me say that I was NOT looking to work on that project, or even expecting to produce any Mack Raptor animals.

As far as I know, there are no Raptor genes in my MSTA animals... nor have they ever produced any raptor type animals...

we'll see how this one turns out as it grows... I'm pretty stoked!

Cool little gecko, Brittney! I have hatched several snake-eyed animals out of my SnowGlow project, and there are no raptor genes in them either. Several people have hatched out both Rainwater and Tremper Blazing Blizzards, and Mack Enigmas with varying amounts of solid pigment in the eyes, too. There's definately some interesting stuff going on with the eyes, but it's not always due to the eclipse gene. Good luck with that little one!
