In a few days our incubator will actually get unplugged (its going to feel strange not checking it twice a day). So my question is how was everyones season. and what was your best hatch? Ours was a Super Snow Bell Enigma This year we hatched close to a hundred geckos which is right about double of last year.

pffft "winding down" lol. My bator isn't going to be off anytime soon. I've got 4 tokay clutches in there, I expect eggs from my fimbriatus sometime in the next few weeks, and the fat tails are just starting up! Not to mention my seemingly endless parade of crestie eggs. One of the aspects of keeping many species is that just when one season ends, another begins, and some of mine go year round. No rest for the wicked! :D

I unplugged my bator around September 1st, and I'm just happy to have hatchlings at all. It was my first breeding season ever, and I had a great time doing it, and learned a lot.

I'm shipping my first two leos across the country on Monday, so the excitement never ends!!!

I finished on 10/10. My basic stats are 37 leopard gecko hatchlings from 5 females, including 1 hatchling that died after about 3 weeks and 5 AFT's from 1 female. I'm waiting a bit to see how my last hatchling does before posting about incubators and temp fluctuations and then I'll have more details. This was a perfect number of hatchlings for me and I have 22 left to sell.

I had 2 temp bumps (long power outages) this year and it does affect the outcome of a hatchling. I had to cull 5 leos due to deformities so I cant say it was a perfect year.

My incubator doesnt get unplugged. Its on year round. Between leopard geckos, fat tail geckos, and bearded dragon eggs there is always some species of eggs in there. Now that I have got into knob tails next year i will have knob tail geckos and will soon start having ball python eggs in there. My leopard gecko season is just starting up again and my fat tail season has been under way since the middle of October.

I'm glad to have a break from breeding and incubating for a couple months. A few of our snakes are wanting to breed now tho..... a couple bp lockups and some frisky womas. Still a ways off for eggs, so all the incubators are off. Next project is some new gecko hatchling racks during this down time. One more show to go. I'm tired.

I actually won't unplug the Hovabator; I still have 9 eggs in there and more on the way!

What I am worried about are snow storms with days of power failure. I use handwarmers to save the eggs. Worked in the past two years, but I had a few tail kinks. Who of you who runs an incubator in winter has a generator? Is there a relatively cheap one that is recommendable? I know ALDI had one last month.

I pulled my last hatchling today. It is a little Eclipse 50% het Tremper, a nice end to my leopard gecko breeding.
