I'm a carpenter, I work for myself, mostly by myself. My preference is custom finish work, but I'll dig a ditch to feed my kids.
LOL!

My boss is a carpenter (he does everything though) and I just helped him dig ditches. :main_laugh:

I was in a attic all day today hot as hell I rather be in there than dig holes again. lol...

I am an artist and freelance scientist, semi-retired. Love reptiles, have a pretty fair selection of breeding pairs/trios/groups of different species with emphasis on geckos.

Hubs and I are body wranglers for District 12 Medical Examiner.
Tag 'em, bag 'em and drag 'em.

Hoping to walk away from the "Land of the Dead" later this year and focus 100% on the animals.

I'm an IT Technician for Independent telephone Company. My job can range from IPTV, DSL, Circuits, Fiber, Networking to ordering. Basically a Utility guy. I don't know all there is to know about everything but pretty much called on when something needs figured out. Its a pretty sweet gig til I have to deal with problem customers that technology has shot by them. That can get aggravating.

I design Game Callers and Record ...... Wildlife /Audio nature ( over 20 years) , like Wild Turkeys, Deer, Ducks, Crows ect. Basically sounds of the animals or birds hunters hunt. Yes I am a hunter. CallDr is my Industry nickname. I was kinda reluctant to post this because most non-hunters don't feel we love wildlife. The fact is we do. We just believe we are born hunters ( men ) and it's natural to kill for food and understand the cycle of life and death of predator and prey.

It is my profession to study wildlife and as an instrument maker study Instrument making. I spend a lot of time "in the Wild outdoors".

I hope my profession does not offend anyone here. I hope my posts show I have taken or made every effort to "care" for my Gecko.

I am an electrician and have had my own company for about 5 years now. Our family has been in the electrical field for 5 generations and its pretty much all I have done. I did spend 7 years with a breeder in northern VA. that mostly bred boas and pythons but that was part time.

My experience with hunters has been that they are some of the most dedicated conservationists, and I would be willing to bet that most people who disagree don't actually know any hunters.

So do we geckoforums members get discounts on your calls? Im an avid hunter. People dont understand that over population of animals causes more death and sickness than anything else.

I agree, we live out in the country and most of the hunters are good conservationists.

Just like anything, there are folks on every end of the spectrum. I grew up in the rural south, got my first gun when I was eleven, and hunted my whole life. I don't have any ethical issues with it, I just don't have the time or motivation any more. And while I'm sure there are plenty of folks on the conservationalist side of the spectrum, I've known plenty of idiots who hunt that don't give a rip about anything.

Just like there are idiot reptile keepers, ya know?

You'll get no judgment from me for hunting, though.:main_thumbsup:

I'm a full time Reptile Keeper at the Fort Worth Zoo. I have been there for 20 years now and was at the Dallas Zoo as a reptile keeper for 5 years before that. We just opened a new reptile building at the Fort Worth Zoo and it is called MOLA (Museum of Living Art).

Right now I am out with knee replacement surgery and I am bugging the heck out of Kelli! He He.

I'm a stay at home mom of 3 girls (ages 5, 3 and 1.5yrs). In the past I worked in a medical lab, and I have a 3yr diploma in Biochemical Technology. I hope to get back into something biochem related after the kids are all in school full time.
