Emergency gecko missing legs

I just got back from travling and looked in the back of the truck and gecko was not moving..was left on its side, so i get gecko and get inside the house and notcie that both his legs are missing..What should i do?

is moving ok not dead but both legs are missing...half the leg i should say...and has shed around the legs.

leppard gecko,,i think its shed because half shed and had to peel if off..missing one of its legs.

yes gecko traveled with me in a moving van. the other leg is gone but the other leg don't move but is still attached.
no blood. yea there things in the cage that could have fallen on gecko but I notcied shed that had not come off, also. Where I am at I called the vet and they don't take Gecko's and there is nothing close by for me to get to? what do I do? Wait hold on i called animal hospital and they will see the gecko...ill let you all know how it goes

I was not implying that you stole it...I didn't know if you had found it somewhere, or it was someone elses.

It sounds like there may have been some type of traumatic injury since your gecko has no use of it's back legs, but I guess we'll see what the vet says...let us know.

I called and the vet said before I brought the gecko in, said that the gecko will never have use of its legs..He said to give plenty of sun light and ultra light and food, like worms, or crickets..I always feed worms..The vet said there was nothing he could do..I said should i put the gecko to sleep, he said that was my call to make.

Well, that decision is totallyl up to you...think about his quality of life, does he appear to be suffering? If he is, euthanasia may be one of the best gifts you can give him right now. I'm sorry, this must be difficult for you. *Hugs*

This is a most bizzare story. Where was your gecko when he 'lost' his legs? Was he out in the open in the bed of your truck?
