OK, so it's a Super Snow Eclipse with a paradox spot. Combination morphs are NOT 'new' morphs IMHO, and it's just another outer space name to try and remember. I saw the same 'morphs' as good, if not better, at Steve Syke's (Gecko's Etc.) recently, as well as a lovely Super Snow female with a H-U-G-E orange paradox spot at Charlton Kangas' place. I'm just a 'mean old gecko lady' and it takes a whole lot more than this to impress me. Now that I think about it, not much impresses me anymore. Sorry.

Look a bit closer at this gecko. Yes it is definitely a new morph-the white face and legs, which appear on all examples, is enough to set it apart from an ordinary super snow eclipse. Add to that the consistent heritability of the paradox spot, and its consistent placement . None of the above appear on any other morph. No wonder Ron insisted on introducing this in Japan (where it was received extremely enthusiastically, I might add)-y'all are getting way too jaded.;)

I guess I need to take some photos of some Super Snow Eclipses (with all white faces and legs) to PROVE that this is not a 'new' genetic morph? It's just another combination morph, like all the rest. Brad, please explain to me how another gecko that is made up of a combination of existing genetic morphs is a "NEW" morph.

I had to shake my head when I saw this. However when I first saw it, the galaxy "morph" it was from another breeder, who bred a galaxy to a w/y. I looked at it and was like, ok this looks like a snow eclipse enigma. I pretty much hit the nail on the head. His didn't even have a paradox spot like the galaxy is suppose to have. Thing about the galaxy is that its unpredictable. You cant always expect the spot to be there, or in the same place. In my opinion, this is stupid. We already have these, even I have one that looks exactly like this minus the paradox spot. If you can just throw a name on any gecko you hatch that's a little different looking, then we'd start running out of names fast.

Edit to add: Oh I also want to point out, that gecko Ron posted on his site, has an underbite lol.

I haven't had time to read this entire thread yet so lets go ahead and stop the personal arguing for a second or I'll just keep deleting posts. Thank you.

*edit* Ok, post away but please refrain from name calling or personal arguments. :)

Yes, of course they are SS Eclipse-but a distinct genetic morph of those. The white face and legs, as well as the washed-out overall pattern, breed true. That's the definition of a morph. Certainly if the "pied-sided" blood red corn is a morph, then this is as well. But if you have pics of other SS Eclipse that match these, then post 'em!:)

Brad, while I agree with some of the comments that it does look "similar" to other morphs, I also believe it is totally different and unique. The white legs and whole face being white (not just the nose)....

Very cool gecko. I look forward to the day when it is super-sized. Imagine that gecko at 150g? Good luck with the new morph.

The white face and legs, as well as the washed-out overall pattern, breed true.

Some of the SS Eclipse tends to hatch with white face and legs, the different dots pattern and the paradox spot can be achieved by line breeding. In the video also said a white tail tip and also the SS Eclipse can have that. So my personal opinion is that is not a new morph. Why if there is 5 of them only 3 have the yellow spot? Here is a picture of a SS Eclipse that was for sale.

Neither of those match the Galaxy in the entire suite of characters. Again, Galaxies have been tested and breed true for all characters except the paradox spot-though most have that as well. I also think a bit of selective breeding will lead to an entirely white head.

Opinions are fine, personal attacks are not.

For the record, Ron did threaten me with a lawsuit and was VERY ugly to me over the phone due to a similar thread here about the Diablo Blancos. I did some research since then, and spoke to our attorney, and I cannot be sued for what others say, even though I own this website. I can only be sued for what I say, and others can be sued for what they say. So think before you type guys!

Let's keep this thread about the morph, the Galaxy.

My first impression, /sigh really. I feel like the people that are buying these geckos are getting taken advantage of with a unapproved genetic. Likely extremely priced.

Profit should be used to help with disaster relief IMO.
