I'm looking to get into another species of reptile. Looking at anything from snakes to another kind of gecko.

Ideally it'd fit within these requirements:
-Does not outgrow a 20L tank
-Feeds on either pinkies/fuzzies or mealworms
-Can be handled
-Is more or less inexpensive

Aaaand start with the ideas....now!

Nope, I'm not putting a Tokay in that tank.

Not really interested in fatties. Pictus are cute..what's their care like?

Get a chiwahwah. That should work with those requirements.

Ok, But really I would get something diurnal and chill...like a beardie or something

I'm keeping Pictus in mind, but 20L is a little too much room for just a couple. Whatever animal I get I want only one or two of.

Any other suggestions?

Those cat geckos are really cute. I was thinking of some myself but am at capacity (I've said that before . . .)

Cats are great geckos but should be kept singly outside of breeding introductions, they stress pretty easily.

You kinda need to narrow things down, there are a lot of herps that would do ok in a 20L. Are you looking at geckos specifically? In that case there are caves, frog eyeds, Bent Toeds, Bandeds, Knobtails, etc. If you flip it vertical it would also work for most Gekko species, gargs or cresties, flying geckos, smaller leaf tails like ebanaui or phants, australian velvet geckos, williamsii, etc.

If you want to go outside the gecko world it gets kinda nuts. :p

What exactly are you looking for in a species? Handleability? Breeding? Care levels? Temp preferences? Feeding? Theres a lot of factors involved.

Or a rubber boa. Always rubber boas. Everyone should have some.

I like pacific boas for a twenty long too. The entire Candoia genus is amazing. Especially C. aspera but... they... not so much on the easily handleable bit. They tend to be a little on the defensive side.

Children's python would work in there. Can't go wrong with Antaresia and they're better looking than spotteds.

I'm a big fan of Candoia as well, sort of an underrated genus. I kept some vipers before, haha, angry little snakes. The grounds aren't bad though for handling, though they might get a bit too large for a 20L, at least the females.
