just because people may not agree on something does not mean they have to ACT like they KNOW IT ALL.

There is a difference between a discussion of opinions and pure and simple stupid over and over and over and over obnoxious remarks esp from people who do not breed leos, have not worked with them for years and do not know what they are talking about and just want start an argument so they can look as bad on a forum as they do in real life.

Dunno if you're referring to me, but I have worked with Leopards since 2002 or so. I actually still have my very first little girl! :main_thumbsup:

Not sure why you would think it applied to you unless it did :main_yes: as I gave several reasons for a person being a total part of the posterior region of the human body.

If you think that part of it applies to you then you probaby hit the nail on the head :main_laugh:

*shrugs* well, I for one am enjoying the flow of ideas here :main_yes:
Personal bashing not so much, but I am learning alot. And since I have a jungly het raptor with a fully striped tail (and his hatchling, which is the same, only 50% het raptor), a stripe, and a possible het raptor, with the gaols of producing stripes and red eyes Im finding this thread informative.

I really like the idea of the jungle, stripe, reverse stripe, and patternless stripe being the same gene. It makes so much more sense than simply different slightly related polygenetic traits. Almost like incomplete dominance from jungle to stripe to reverse stripe to patternless stripe, with each "phase" being under less influence of polygenetic factors that are keeping the patternlessness from being expressed fully. <- sounds confusing... maybe this is better -> If it is one gene for all of them then other polygenetic factors will distort it (alot so with jungle, less so with stripe, even less so with reverse stripe, and not at all with patternless stripes). This has totally turned my ideas of the traits upside down, but makes so much more sense than the "different polygenetic traits" idea that most people have.

If you want to continue to beat this genetic horse to it's death, that's fine. However, please do not personally attack members on this forum. Thanks.

This thread has gone far enough. Everyone has made their points and I think we all know how we feel about each other. Let's move on to other topics now, please.

Sorry kelli :D just one more thing as i've done the pictures now in these diergrames is this somthing along the line you think things sould go with striped type leo's or a i thing tooooooo much :D .I do fully agree that a abberant with a full striped body with a banded tail'etc should have have striped said in it's name as if you had you head scrawed on the only breeding partner for such a leo would be a nother partial striped of full as it make no sence to breed it to any leo going as you would lose stripeing look with each out breed.I like the idea just going to be really hard to inforce ?? is't it some top dogs are needed if your nuber one how meny others do you know that would follow suit ??.

Don't fell bad, Im the resident genetics idiot but I have no problem admitting it and I don't try to explain things that I can't based on reading others opinions or info on genetics information sites.

Gazz... give it up already! You are trying to argue with people that have been breeding geckos for 14+ years, and have w-a-a-a-a-y more understanding of leopard gecko genetics and how they express themselves than you do! Enough is enough on this thread.
