Anyone in the NE portion of the states getting as frustrated as i am? I hear all these people having females starting to ovulate and the only action i'm getting is from my Pictus. ( we already have 2 babies)

Ryan,
You may need to introduce the males to the females to get it started if you have not already done so... Some of my females can be stuborn at times too...

I live in Missouri where it has been in the single and teens lately. I have had no sign of ovulation yet. I have introduced for a short time and nothing. I have tried the paper towel trick and so far it has done nothing. I think that the ones that live in the northern part of the US may be just getting lucky or have been keeping their reptiles pretty warm. I kept a heater on in my herp room and have been turning it up little by little. Hopefully they will start soon. Last year it wasn't until end of Jan to beginning of feb. that I got any "action".

Mine are ovulating just fine--even my little girls that are nowhere near breeding weight. One of my females is already gravid as well... To be fair, my reptile room is upstairs and between all of the UTH's and the house's heater, the ambient temp has remained about 75*f despite the ridiculously cold weather.

Ryan they might need a cold-snap! About a month ago we had sub-zero temperatures for about a week and a half. Once the Arctic front moved on I started putting the paper towels in their tubs. Over half the females I planned on breeding this year started to ovulate. So you might try cooling them. Just a thought and best of luck.

I'm in Boston. No one is ovulating yet, though the males are in with the females and are definitely interested. I don't expect the first one to start for another few weeks and I have one that doesn't really get going till April but then she goes all summer.

Man I must have gotten lucky, I wanted to split up the season this year and so far so good. I had two females ovulate at the end of Oct, had my first clutch hatch mid dec, 2 hatched last week, 2 due next week, and 5 more just into the bator. Just bred a few more that started to ovulate last week. My males are rattlin in their tubs above the girls at all times of the night. Looks like it's going to be a busy year
