I have a male SHTCT that is named Astronaut. We named him this after watching an episode of 70's Show where Kelso reads from a Boy's Life mag that "Astronaut's get all the Tang they want". That is pretty much what my male SHTCT gets

2. my patternless female: Pumpkin (I was re-reading Memiors of a Geisha) plus she's a pretty yellow color *shrugs* It fits her, my little fatty

3. my SHTCTB has yet to be named... he's been hard to name. I was thinking maybe a demon name, since he's a little butthead. Ooooor go along with tv/book thing (kind of along the lines of the cartoon show Ed, Edd and Eddy) *shrugs*

Alright, I've got Slim Shady (HT female), we were listening to Eminem on the way home from the show that I got her at, and I wasn't sure of her sex, and I figured Slim was universal. That's what she goes by most of the time, Slim, unless I'm mad at her, then she gets the full name lol.

The I've got Smiley (HT het sunglow female), she kinda already came with that name from Nick, cause she had smiley faces all over her, though alot of them have gone away the name still suites her!

And Blazer (Blizzard, too young for me to sex, but I'm hoping boy), for numerous reasons, but mostly from Dodgeball, cause I love that movie. His name has soo many different ways it can go. Lazy Blazey, Blazey Boo Boo Kitty, Blazey, Blazer, you get the picture. lol

It's odd, because I like giving all my other animals human names (rats named Molly and Sally) but for the geckos it's different lol.

I love all these names! They're soooo creative! Good thread!

I name my pets according to their morphs/species, where they came from and/or in one instance, "Luna" kept her given name. I have friends who's last name is Luna, so Miss Luna was a part of my life long before Leos. Some of my names and their explanations are as follows:

Frank White and Bianca La Perl (Diablo Blancos) Frank White is from "King of New York (My male Breeders are mostly named after real or fictional gangsters), Bianca means white as does La Perl in a round about way, La Perl is also my grandmother's maiden name.

Storm Shadow's Revenge (Mack Snow Enigma) He looks like he has snow camo.

Mellow Yellow and Liz Lemon (Hyper Yellow Xanthics) Mellow Yellow is a famous song by Donovan and Liz Lemon is Tina Fey's character on 30 Rock.

Fearsome White Tiger (Tremper Enigma het DB) I love Gung Fu movies and it fits his color scheme.

Marble Madness (Tremper Albino het DB) White Tiger's clutchmate. He has a marbled pattern. Marble Madness was a video game I used to like as a kid.

Thing One and Thing Two (Enigmas poss. het RAPTOR, poss het Blizzard [not proven just yet]) Named for Dr Suess characters. They are sisters and look very similar.

NOE (Emerine) Named for her morph and where she came from (New Orleans Emerine).

Xochitl (Striped RAPTOR) It means flower in Nahuatl, because she is such a pretty girl.

Quetzalcoatl (RTB) Not a Leo, but named for an Aztec god (the feathered serpent).

Ramses I and Cleopatra (Amel AFTs) I wanted to stick to an African theme with my AFTs.

I have a Snow with a very nice head pattern that I want to call Maori because it resembles Maori Moko to me, but I have to ask someone from New Zealand if that would be considered disrespectful.

My male Tangerine Rainwater name is Apollo. Apollo stems from the God of the Sun. Quite fitting for a yellow/orange Leo.

Female High Yellow's name is Remmy. I let the Girlfriend name her. Its from the movie Ratatouillie.

My big male Blizzard's name is Ulysses. Named after Ulysses S. Grant.

I like Isis, that's a cool name ... but Im a big fan of the band Isis, so It'd be a bit corny if I used that name.

I've got 3 Leos now.

Iggy ... Not sure why I chose that name, it was either gonna be Iggy or Izzy ... but I think Izzy was a bit cheesy, 'cause it's a bit too lizardy?

Rex ... Just another cool name, took inspiration from the dinosaur in Toy Story 'cause he's a cool guy!

Stumpy ... Stumpy is a Leo I "rescued" from a pet store that had a fractured humerous 'caused by MDB, Stumpy was chosen 'cause it's just a cute name referring to his bad leg.

Right now I'm down to only 3 leos, their names are as follows:

Havana - Sunglow female

Slim Shady - Sunglow male poss. giant (he's at 80 grams and still looks thin, and he walks around really devious so hence the "shady" part of his name. Also named after Eminem).

& April - Patternless female

Bowser is named for the big ornery Mario boss because he was a very hissy, naughty little baby. Doesn't really fit him now, he's so mellow and friendly... he is kind of chubby though.

Galileo is, of course, named for Galileo Galilei one of the first big proponents of the heliocentric notion of the universe. I'm not sure why I named him that but it sure is fun to call him Gally. It fits him well as an adult because he is one sharp little geck, doesn't miss a thing.

I just got a SHTCTB Male and I named it Dexter, meaning Right handed man, because he had MBD as a hatchling and has a little bit more of a bend in his left arm near the foot.

I like fancy names that can be cute when shortened, so mine is named Androcles, shortened to Andi :]
Androcles is the mouse in the story of the lion and the mouse. (A lion gets a thorn stuck in his paw and the mouse pulls it out)
It's a boys name for my little girl, but Andi can go for a girl too I guess lol.
