How did the slurry go? Did she eat any? My Lizzy has been in her hide all day and night since I changed to the paper towels. Her eyes are the same, although the worst of the two doesn't look like dried shed anymore you can see that it is soft...kinda shiny. Still full of energy though, he didn't want anything to do with me today but I managed to get her to eat some of the appetite stimulant.

She had licked a little slurry but nothing like she needs too. Little more energy than she has had but not by much. She is liking her hide too. Her eyes still are shut. I pulled some skin out of one last night but she looks like she has glaucoma.

honestly what you might have to do is get her eyes open and rub the shed out with a wet q-tip..it wont be pleasant for her or you but it might save her. idk what else to suggest.....i hope she gets better soon

Thanks. She does have an appointment with the herp vet on Tues. I was trying to be pretty gentle with her eyes. Not sure how much is too much... ya know. I can't imagine someone pestering my eyes..like I have hers.. :(

She pooped last night. It is dry this morning. Looks ok for the most part. Would it be helpful for me to take into the vet tomorrow? She still isn't eating much and has opened her eyes a few times but isn't leaving them open. I am still trying to feed her slurry. She licks a little bit but not what I think she should. She isn't as lethargic as she was last week either. Thank God. She is still weak but she isn't really eating...so that explains some of that.

well...$236 later... (I had $125) sigh... there went my bday money..LOL at least I had it.. Anyway...she has shed in her eyes... keep soaking her, give her calcium, she gave me some professional "slurry" and told me to continue the eye ointment that the last vet gave me.

I am glad she isn't dying...

It all adds up when it comes to the vet...I KNEW she had a problem with the shed in her eyes...I thought after your last set of pictures she might have had something else going on as well, which is why I got so alarmed, she really looked like you-know-what....

Is the professional slurry called critical care by any chance? If so i'm familiar with it...good stuff & very much worth the $ IMO

The humidity is what is key in preventing the eye caps in the future...I have a gecko (who recently retired himself from breeding, for reasons I still do not know) who DOES NOT use his moist hide at all. I have to manually moisten his environment, and assist his shed process when the time comes...Make sure she uses her moist hide, and if she doesn't try to change the location of it, make it bigger, change the substrate, etc...at least you have some peace of mind now that she's not in any danger.

She said to soak her twice a week. Get a UVAB lamp. Gave me calcium to give her for a while. The food is "Carnivore Care" by Hay Oxbow Company.

She did stain the eyes to make sure that it was just shed in the eye and not something else. She numbed them too before she pulled skin out.

$28 for the stain
$14 for the anesthet
$20 (discounted) for the Corneal debridement
$23.82 for the Food
$23.00 for the calcium

I just wish I had known before what it was going to add up too. I am a little taken back. IMO her $125 she didn't do much for.

ok... no change so far... She seems fat to me. but she is still more or less lethargic. She will still sit still for a little while if I tip her over on her back. She isn't keeping her eyes open yet and I can't see any more skin in them. Any ideas?

Here are the pics I have:

What is the "ointment" that your last vet gave you? Maybe she's not responding to that particular drug? See if she can call something in for you, she might just need her prescription switched to something else. Man, what a pain, you've been dealing with this for a while!
