New members with hundreds of posts

I'm guilty of using the ole +1 on occasion, but only when I feel like the meat of the message I want to convey has already been communicated by another poster. It certainly isn't a large percentage of my contribution to the forum. It does bother me to no end to see the same lazy posts countless times. There is one member here, who shall remain nameless, who has 5,000+ posts and I'd be willing to bet that somewhere around 90% of his/her posts ALL SAY THE EXACT SAME THING! Cut and paste? Really? Why aim for a high post count when all you ever have to say doesn't even carry any weight in the way of knowledge or isn't informative in the least? If your going to contribute to the forum great, but use your brain and don't regurgitate the same cookie cutter comment every time you have something to add.

I honestly don't get whats wrong with +1. If someone says something... and I agree... then I say +1. Usually I do that when 2, 3, 4 people say different things and I only agree with one of them... :main_rolleyes:

I don't know, I might drop dead as soon as I hit send, lol! :main_laugh: How do you know I don't compliment on a normal leo or answered a wierd questions? Have you gone over every single one of my posts? I believe I have commented on people showing of their normal geckos and others too. I just haven't said just wow and actually say alittle more. To me it is more meaningful to compliment less and say more then it is to compliment more and say less! Like someone said before its not really the quantity but the quality! Don't get your panties in a wad! I kid I kid!

Fair enough, I have not checked all of your posts. And I do prefer people to put a little more effort into their comments vs copy/paste but anything is better than nothing when only 10/150 are commenting in the first place. ::unwads panties:: :main_laugh:

hey i have some tremper albinos and i do think they are pretty. i prefer bell albinos and rainwaters though. but people must realize that the original trempers were brown, not all pretty like they are now. people call brown trempers "chocolates" but in reality real trempers are brown. and well YEAH and some other things. so yeah leased:

Hmm...I don't mind the one word compliments. Come on people!! I posted some pictures of my knobtails yesterday, and have zero reply so far. I would appreciate it if I get some "nice", "great", "cute" comments.

Back to the topic, the only thing that will irritate me is when someone who maybe got their first gecko last week starts answering other people's questions, and gives out wrong info.

I get annoyed when it's these same people who regurgitate "take it to a vet" for every single, freakin thing. THEN, those same people turn around and complain about how awful veterinarians are.

I do know this person with over 5,000 posts who posts the same thing in like, every single thread. I don't think this person has ever said anything else, LOL. One time I looked in their "previous posts" and it was an entire page of something like "very cool". Why bother? LOL.

i don't mind brevity in posts; not every post has to be a doctoral thesis...
wrong info by well-meaning (or otherwise) n00bs i do find annoying tho.
