I'm interested to hear what you all do to fund your reptile addiction. Or, if you're a full-time reptile pro, then say so.

I'd like to see/hear some details about what you do, where you do it, etc.

I'll start...

I'm a carpenter, I work for myself, mostly by myself. My preference is custom finish work, but I'll dig a ditch to feed my kids. Fortunately, it hasn't come to that... yet. I've been doing it for ten years, and on my own for five.

And since pictures are worth a thousand words...

I am unemployed, but I make my money with art. I am a freelance artist and I specialize in cartoony style.
Since I live with the parents still, my needs are met. The money I make goes to my animals first. They are my top priority.
Then I spend cash on replacing art supplies and whatever else is leftover, I use on silly nonsense for myself.
My artwork can be seen at deviantART.com under the same name. :)

I'm a librarian. Erp. Sort of. I'm still a university student, actually. I study Ancient Religious History (minoring in Latin) but I work at the university library in the media department, school text books, and childrens' lit department- collectively called the CRC (Curriculum Research Centre). That means I clean, sort and shelf CDs, DVDs, records, and all the childrens books, ranging from non fic to fiction. I also help teachers and those wanting to look at text books find what they need. Soon, I will have to take government documents under my belt too when the library higher ups move them into my department.

Eventually, once I have my degree, I wanna go on to get a masters degree in Archiving, which would combine my love of libraries with my love of history.

Until them, I'm just an assistant librarian who dreams of higher OCD sorting glory. XD

The money I make goes to my three herps, my nasty addiction to books, and feeding myself. In that order.

I'm a student (senior woohoo!) studying biology with a pre-medical focus and am currently unemployed. When I have time I do DIY projects - right now im working the finishing touches on a downstairs bathroom and taking down popcorn ceilings and I also enjoy gardening having just started my first compost pile, I hope it works out haha.

Yay! Pakinjak love your stuff!

Yea Robin that's my dream job wanna trade?? :D

No I'm kidding.. it's actually not, now that I think about it.

I'm graduating this May with a degree in Biology, I have one more class to take for a Chem minor, so maybe that too. I'm technically a pre-vet, sense I had to take all these silly classes that I need for pre-reqs. Applied for a Masters in Animal Science... Blah blah blah, can't you tell I want to be a vet? I would love to have an old time mixed animal practice which isn't the way the vet field is going. But if I had to specialize it would be large animals(main focus equine), maybe food animal also.

I'm a uncertified vet tech at a mixed animal practice, and holy geez do I love it. The things I have been allowed to do is amazing.

So I work there part time, at school full time, also a lab *you know* I'm working on neural stem cell differentiation and doing bioassays of enviormental water. I show horses full time during the summer.. Annndd.. have a boyfriend, he's pays for most of my herp obessions. And I give him my paycheck everyother week. :D

I'm a Certified Veterinary Technician at a small, privately owned practice. We do almost exclusively small animal work(i.e. dogs and cats) and specialize in Pain Management/Physiotherapy. We do see a few random exotics, but to tell the truth I know more about exotics than the vets do(husbandry-wise anyways) and serious cases are referenced out to a local exotics specialist vet(MY vet lol). I've been in the field for a few years, and I do love it, but I'm considering going back to school and continuing on to a degree in Zoology and going the zoo curator route.

I'm an automotive general service tech. I install tires, filters, belts, batteries, do oil changes, and alignments.

I'm working on getting my ASEs, but it's slow going.

I'm a Pest Control Technician, been doing it for 12 years. I have to say I love my job, meeting new people. Plus working out doors, and no stress. I guess I can't complain to much.

I'm a full time student, majoring in English and Philosophy. I'm a writer, but I don't make any money at it--not yet, anyway. I'm headed to grad school the year after next, for an MFA in creative writing. Hoping to get into the Iowa Writer's Workshop. After that I'll teach in a university. And continue writing, of course :)

I work in a smoothie shop on my college campus. Since my parents and my student loans cover all living/school expenses, I'm free to spend my paychecks on my geckos, who I have to leave in the care of my younger sister while I'm at school. Hopefully, that will change next year.
