I gotta get one of those. I lost about 90% of my eggs this year, and they were fertile. I think it had a lot to do with burying them in too-damp perlite. That is an amazing concept. Anyone have price details yet?

The price is slightly less plus exact shipping cost ... so it was explained to me. That info was an error by the previous devoloper, that has since been corrected.

Now I don´t have any SIM left to give away ;-)

So does anyone have any suggestions to incubation medium for these? Is it just water? And if you do use a medium (besides just water), what ratio? Thanks.

We are now offering our own special incubation substrate... It will come premixed or dry with the proper instructions...

Damn, if I had seen this before, maybe Thorsten could have brought me some at the Hamm show:D

Gregg:

When will these be for sale here in Europe ? Or in the Netherlands ? Or can I just order them from your site, and they will be send to me here in Europe ?
Or is there a show they can be brought/send to ? Maybe Hamm in December ?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm kinda excited:D

And for Leo's and Bearded Dragons, how may eggs fit in one container ? And how much substrate do you put in there ? All the way to "platform" where the eggs are ? Or how many space do you leave air between eggs and substrate ?

Hi Teun,

I'll try to answer some question for you...

We are working on distribution rights to sell these containers in E.U. and Australia at the moment. This should be in effect for November of this year. One retailer to handle all of E.U. exclusively. Shipping from U.S.A. to Europe is ridiculously expensive so this will be best way for European customers to get their S.I.M. Container.

The substrate is added up to a fill line that is shown on side of S.I.M. It is roughly 1/2 inch below the grid to leave air space below grid.

Gregg or Eric will handle egg numbers for Leo geckos... I don't want to guess at it.

Best regards,

John

Thanks John !:main_thumbsup:

When they become for sale in Europe, I really want to get some of them, because I'm looking for another way to incubate bearded dragons eggs as save as possible(skin is thinner than leo eggs), and this looks perfect ! Filling line is even better.

I'll wait for Greggs answer on the number of eggs.

I would say you can fit 4 containers in a typical hovabator (for those that have one) and each container should hold roughly 40 leopard gecko eggs with ease do to configuration and no need for substrate between eggs ;)
