I use distilled bottled water, the chlorine and other chemicals put into tap water can be fatal to reptiles, just because we can drink it doesnt mean they can to, we can digest and process different things than they can, and chemicals in tap water can be very dangerous to reptiles. Which is why you should either have a water purifier or use bottled water, you can also use tap water that has been sitting in sunlight for 24-48 hours which cleans out the chlorine thats in tap water.

But some cities use different chemicals in the tap water, the sun only purifies the chlorine so you should make sure theres only chlorine in it if your going to use the sunlight method.

To be safe I recommend bottled water.

My babies get Dasani bottled water. I only have 2 of them, so I'll spoil them! I also use the same water to bathe the one that's having shedding issues. I come from a town that has such hard water that it eats at the pipes and burns on the way down.....enough said!

We just recently switched to filtered water...

My husband and I have been bumping heads about this...he swears that their fertility is affected by the quality of water they drink (tap/filtered), I say it's a bunch of bull. Needless to say I caved, and we now are giving them store-bought filtered water (that I don't even drink!)...this season i've only gotten "waterbags" so far so I guess we'll see if he's right...

I rescued a Leo that has MDB from a pet store, so that wee guy drinks nothing but Evian water 'cause it's quite high in calcium.

We RO filtered water because our tap water is filtered and then run through a water softner, so it slightly salty.

Here in Iowa I use tap water because it's some of the cleanest anywhere though I always add a water conditioner. When I was living out in Colorado I always used filtered. Old uranium mining operations all over made the water extremly icky and slightly radioactive...

I buy drinking water from the store. I would never ever give my leos water out of this tap lol. I have gotten letters in the mail saying its causing cancer and other health problems I dont drink it and I darn sure am not gonna risk my leos lives either.

I'm not entirely convinced bottled water is better for you(or geckos) many times the plastic it is held in is not healthy and also "Under the Safe Drinking Water Act, local water suppliers are required to test tap water daily and to provide an annual report on the quality of the water. By comparison, the FDA examines bottled water only weekly, and consumers don’t have access to the results" The tap water is also tested for Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Viruses while the bottled water is not required to. Unless you have really bad water I think tap is fine.

I live in a very small town, so our water is fine, so I use tap mostly, I some times give Kirsa purified water from bottled water from the store.

For some reason, the thought of drinking water out of a faucet makes my skin crawl >.< Germany is known for their awesome tap water, or so I was told, so when I went over there it was very hard for me to get over the thought of drinking out of a faucet... Doesnt help that we have sulfur water at our house that comes out of the tap... So, needless to say, my leos get the bottled stuff. =]
